My versa will just not connect via Bluetooth. It’s not the phone as other devices pair fine.
for something so expensive the customer service is lamentable- and interestingly the instructions do not tell you how to make the device discoverable once it’s set up.
really disappointing

Hi there @andrewmcneilis, good to see you again and my apologies for the late response. I was reading your Versa is not connecting via bluetooth. If the issue persists, are you seeing an error in specific?
Note that your Versa will only connect through the Fitbit app and it won't work as other bluetooth devices paired to your device. So, there is no need to make your tracker discoverable.
If the Fitbit app is not syncing with your Versa watch, the following article will lend you some extra help: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?
Give it a try to these suggestions. Catch you later!

My Versa Lite does indeed seem to be able to sync via the Fitbit app without being "discoverable"; however, it used to show up as a connected device in my Bluetooth settings, and now it doesn't. This means I can no longer use it to keep my phone unlocked. How can I make it show up as a paired device again?

I've had issues since buying one two weeks ago myself. There are a few things I do when there are problems that usually allow me to sync. Restarting bluetooth sometimes is enough. Being on your home network, or the network you connected to in the initial setup, always seems to help. Unpairing the Versa in the bluetooth settings, and then "reconnecting" via the app usually causes it to sync again too. If none of these work, I just try again later.

Well that’s all good, but, you should not have to go through all this on a daily/weekly basis with a new high end tracker.

Agreed. I am having this same problem. I've only had my Versa Lite about a month. It has done this the whole time, but not very frequently. It has now gotten to the point where I was almost late for work Friday because it was losing time and I didn't realize it. Now tonight, it won't sync or pair no matter what i try. I even tried a factory reset because of frustration, and now I can't even get past the screen where it tells me to download the app in several languages. I guess I'll call customer support tomorrow and see if I can get any help.

All of a sudden my Versa will not pair through my Bluetooth settings. It use to, but not any longer?

I ended up contacting customer support. It took a couple of times of talking to them, and exhausting all troubleshooting efforts, but I am supposed to be getting my replacement tomorrow. I had only bought mine about a month before it stopped syncing. I talked to them through chat, and they were super helpful.

My problems started just a few days ago. I have followed all directions to a T to try and get my phone to recognize my Versa, but its all been for naught.
I thought un-pairing and re-pairing would help, except now my phone (Galaxy S10+) cannot 'see' my Versa.
Even as a watch it's useless as it's been losing time - I guess syncing helped keep it on track.
Please FIX whatever the ailment is. I've only had this a few months and now it's useless?
I have spent a lot of $$ over the years on your devices and this failure to connect should not be happening.
Obviously, this is not a one-off problem. What are you doing to correct this?

Wow...I better get of my backside and make a call before my warranty runs out!
I'd forgotten how ridiculous it was too synch my Versa! It's "still" connecting 2 hours later...let alone synch. I love the device but the back end really leaves a lot to be desired.

I'm having the same issue. My versa lite is brand new (days old) and I've spent hours (that I will never get back and not impressed that on a sophisticated peice of machinery something this simple is sooo hard) trying to figure out how to get the music controls to work. The music control area of my versa kept displaying a notice to "pair my phone in my settings app under bluetooth"... this I had thought I had already done as the versa was synced and receiving data. I read the device manuals and it wasn't any help. I searched different forums and it wasn't until I found a helpful note on reddit (not great that the most helpful forum isn't Fitbit but reddit...) that described choosing "pair" on the Versa's bluetooth settings and then on my phones bluetooth settings, selecting "versa classic" that I found that the versa"s music controls were finally accessible. I was elated until I started using it and in a span of 5 minutes I had to return to the versa's bluetooth settings 3 times to connect it back up - for some reason it keeps dropping the bluetooth connection. If this is how the music feature is meant to operate its completely useless.

I've been experiencing the same problem. Lots of messages saying "looking for device" and "no device found." When I saw the message above about the software being updated, I went to the app store and looked to see if my Fitbit app needed to be updated. Even though I had "update apps" turned on, several apps had not been updated. I updated all my apps and instantly the Fitbit was found by my phone and updated. Hopefully that's the end of that problem! Thanks to everyone who notified Fitbit about this problem and caused them to fix the bug!

I discovered when two bluetooth devices were near each other it confused my versa & it had a hard time pairing or lost pairing. In keeping bluetooth devices apart when syncing all went smoothly. Since I have been keeping devices away from each other I have had no pairing or connection issues.
