While I understand and accept we can't log the floor counts manually, I'm frustrated with my Versa not consistently acknowledging the floors I count.
My office is on the first floor and I often pop down to bring something up. It tends to miss every other time I walk up the stairs until I've done this 4 times then it catches every floor I make after that.
It doesn't make any sense why it would catch some of the data and miss other. I always have my Versa with me, so it's not like I'm taking it off to charge and forget.
Any advice greatly appreciated, thanks

I’ve worn Fitbits for almost 10 years and all my other Fitbits that counted stairs did so properly (sometimes adding extra stairs when it was windy, but that was preferable to undercounting, which is so frustrating!) the versa two has never counted them all. Like everyone else mine seems to count about half. At best. It would be nice if they would do something about this!! They send updates, why can’t they send an update to address the lack of proper stairs counting? What did they do to mess it up from the better count that I got with the Charges?

My versa 3 counts me 50 floors per day while I do not go up and no solution from fitbit, very disappointed !!

To say the least this annoys me GREATLY. I purposely park on the 3rd level of my work's garage so that I can get 6 flights of stairs in before my shift even starts (3 flights to get the the 6th level, then another flight to get to the employee check in, then yet ANOTHER 2 flights of stairs to get to the main floor). I am 41 years old, and have the knees of someone MUCH older due to my kneecaps being 1.5-2 inches higher than they should be.
Is there maybe a way to log it onto the fitbit app or something to get the credit at least? I only have it set to do 6 flights of stairs a day as a good starting point (I am hoping). So I dunno...
BTW I have a Versa2

Mine too! Ever since the app crashed the other day. I work at a school. Prior to this I never got a single floor while at work. Now I get 20-30 since last Wednesday.

I'm having the same problem & have tried all of those things. Calling Fitbit support is useless. They just have you reset, even after you tell them you already have and all devices\apps are updated.

We hike outdoors on hills my husband and I each have a versa 3. His watch registers 21 floors today mine has 7. I’ve restarted it to manufacture default more than once. My watch is 3 months old. The help desk was no help. Any more suggestions?

I have the same issue. My watch has tracked 9 floors up.. But I've gone UP at least 20 times.. and it can't be the elevation issue because it read 9 floors of the same 3 sets of stairs in my home, it missed approximately 11 floors. Frustrating for as expensive as the watch was.

Hello all:
The barometer/altimeter device is quite sensitive!
If you climb a flight of stairs with your watch hand at your belt level,
and you REACH UP for any reason with that hand/arm, and then put
it BACK DOWN, you are RE_SETTING the barometer/altimeter!
Keep your arm/hand still!

That's not good! Did you read that somewhere?

I learned this myself through painful experimentation.
Try it for yourself and see if you get the same results.
