Mine was tracking sleep stages fine from when I got it late April until 3 nights ago. Last 3 nights, no sleep stages due to “couldn’t get a consistent heart rate reading”. Heart rate pattern at night has no discontinuities however so I don’t know why it says this. It seems this problem started for me just after the 2.1 firmware update.

I just want to add that my Versa was logging my sleep just fine until the most recent firmware update. Now I seem to get basic details about every other night. Prior to the latest update I didn't have this issue at all. I realize it is probably just a bug, but hopefully fitbit gets it figured out instead of dancing around the problem.

I changed my watch face back to the default watch face and sleep tracking has been working well for the past two nights now. What watch face is everyone using?

Mine is not working either. I have gone back and forth with support and now it has stopped tracking my walking as well. Disappointed. I wish this thing actually worked 😞 .

After not working for 3 nights, I am back to getting sleep tracking the last 2 nights without anything changed by me. I hope it stays working.
Another issue I’ve noticed is that quite often, the start of sleep is missed by several hours. At least that is correctable by editing the log.

This is exactly the problem! FITBIT customer service is dancing around the problem and providing no real solution. They have a few set processes that they send you instructions on and it is clearly just to get you off the phone to try a fix that they already know isn't going work. Then you call back the next day, and its another round of instructions for something that isn't going to work. I remember when Fitbit customer service actually fixed the issue or sent you a replacement instead of blatantly ignoring the real issue. My wife and I both returned our Fitbits. This Versa was the worst release by Fitbit in the history of their company. Even worse than the rashes the original Fitbti Flex caused. I hope they do something.
Doesn’t work? Do you work for Fitbit?

Same here.. Versa has never tracked my sleep correctly. Some nights it won't even show any sleep.
My Charge 2 worked perfectly.
I've tried all the suggestions.

Thanks! I've tried that too.. It leaves indentions on my arm.. and it is uncomfortable, and wakes me up. Maybe they will find a fix for it. Hoping so~

I’ve tried every and all suggested fixes. If the warranty wasn’t 45 days, mine would have been returned. Very disappointed in the silence from Fitbit and national media.

Same situation, my Fitbit just won't track sleep all together. Fitbit support is useless and feel like I shouldn't have upgraded at all for this to not work.
They've either made it waterproof enough that it can't physically track HR when sleeping or it's just a load of crap. Sick of this issue and Fitbit being useless.

I just got my Fitbit Versa three days ago. Sleep tracking worked on the first night. Then it hasn't work ever since. I have tried all of the above, but my Fitbit Versa still doesn't track my sleep automatically.

So, you’ve been very quiet and have a lot of paying customers including myself frustrated. I read the manual and have tried the troubleshooting shooting tips there so no need to quote them. Is this a recognized issue by Fitbit? Is there a fix coming? We deserve information!

Someone had said that their versa didn't track sleep after they had used the photo watch face option. Mine did the same.. I changed it back to a standard watch face last night, without much improvement.. It showed that I went to sleep 4 hours later than I actually did. And awake for most of the 2 hours after that.

I am having the same issue with only sleep data, no stages. I just switched from charge 2 and had consistent sleep stages with that one. My positions have not changed, I wear it on the same place on my wrist with the same tightness. I've reset it now and hope for good results tonight. If not then what??
I don't think 3 of 7 nights is acceptable at all.
