I also switched from a Charge 2.. I wore it the other night and it worked fine. Just hope a fix is somewhere in the near future.

Has anyone tried to adjust in the settings for sleep tracking from Normal to Sensitive?  This has to do with movements, but I wondered if anyone tried it.  My Versa too seemed to log sleep just fine until recently.

Best Answer

Yes mine is set to sensitive and still fails to give stages

Holy cow!  Changing watch face.  I wonder how you thought of that, and I wonder why it works!!! I'll try it. Thanks.

Interesting. I just got mine 4 days ago.

I think I read set normal is better because any little movement it thinks
you are awake.

Yes, I have tried that too

I usually AM awake when I'm moving in the night, doggone it 😞

Wonder of wonders!! Changing the clock face back to default did the trick,!!  I got sleep starts!  But now I don't see anything on my clock except analog time 😞   Maybe I'll try another clock but use one of fitbit's.  🤔

This worked!  I changed to the default clock face and got sleep stats!  Now I have changed again to a preferable clock face, but one that is a fitbit product.  We'll see what happens tonight.

I have had the same issues as everyone else, however several days ago I
read something g from Fitbit stating that one reason you may not see your
sleep stages is because you clicked “Begin Sleep.” I haven’t clicked this
for four nights now, and just went to bed and every morning it has
correctly logged my sleep stages.

My Versa does not start logging sleep until I have been asleep for 4 hours?

Best Answer

Mine does that too.. often.

It's my understanding that it will log sleep, but can't get enough data for sleep STAGES until you've slept 3 hours.  Don't know where the 4 hour thing came from.

Seems crazy as my Samsung Gear 2 is way more accurate with sleep data. I love my Versa but Fitbit seem to release products without testing, hence the problems they seem to have. I had major issues with my Surge (which went to landfill) so after 2 years returned with the Versa, but problems of the past keep resurfacing!

I took the advice from some on here and moved the Versa higher on my arm
and tighter. It recording my sleep stages perfectly last night. Hope it
keeps up.

I already know all that you suggested to go read. I have done everything correctly. Versa was logging the stages 4 days ago. And now it will not. The Fitbit is three fingers above my wrist bone. It is securely tight but not too tight. I have reset the Fitbit and it still will not log my sleeping stages. Help help help!

Did you try changing the clock face to one that fitbit authored?  There are only a few.  I changed mine and it logs stages just fine now.

My Versa has decided to track sleep at last after I changed watch face to a Fitbit one I use 'Light' and after a restart is now working accurately.

I've changed my clock face back, as well as all the other suggestions, and it still doesn't log sleep correctly.

I also did a restart when I changed the clock face.  Did you try that?  Maybe I'm just lucky, but that seemed to work for me.

This is what worked for me after reading all the comments.  I reset my Versa.  Then I changed the clock face to the fitbit default and got sleep stats.  Then I changed the clock face to another FITBIT branded clock face and continue to get sleep stats.  This morning I edited the time that Versa thought I began sleeping, and the sleep stats disappeared and were replaced by the old sleep/awake/restless data.
