Versa not picking up active minutes

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I go and see a trainer, and I noticed it doesn't pick up the hour of exercise I do with her. It shows that my heart rate is up then, but that's all. I did 30 minutes of cardio, plus two 20 minute walks and it only registered half of one walk, nothing else. I updated it as well. I used a really old fitbit before this, and it always picked up everything, so I'm confused how a newer one seems to not.

@Brandeana Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here! Sorry for the delay in my reply.

Let me help you with your Versa not getting active minutes. Active minutes will be counted based on the intensity of the activity indicated by the movement your device detects. For example when using the elliptical machine make sure you have the moving bars so your device detects the motion and record the activity itself, once an Elliptical activity is saved on your account it should show on the Recent Exercise area. If your heart rate is high but there isn't much motion (yoga, weight lifting, etc.) then these activities will be difficult to be detected by your device. Still you can manually log your activity so you have a record on your account or use the activity mode on the device itself. If you wish you can restart your device too by following these instructions.

Let me know how it goes.

I'm not using an elliptical, I'm actively running on a treadmill. I'm doing
weight lifting, but it's HIIT circuits and I'm moving like lunges as well.
None of it picks up minus my heart rate. Me manually logging defeats the
purpose because I want it to calculate the burn rate with my heart rate.
That's why I bought it.
