Versa not reading correctly my heart rate

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

All week my HR was either non existent or 185-230 bpm. (This is not even close). I have cleaned the sensors. Made sure my arms were dry (which it shouldn't have to be since it is for FITNESS.) I have had it under a year and just started experiencing problems. I burned over 4,000 calories shopping today according to my Fitbit today. Ummm.

@ESchwartz0312 it's great to see you in our Fitbit Community! I'm sorry to hear that your Fitbit Versa is not tracking your heart rate accurately even though you've made sure to clean the sensors and your wrist is dry.

Please restart your Versa as described in this help article. This will refresh your watch internally. After you've done this, make sure of the following details:

  1. Your device is positioned correctly on your wrist:
    • Tighten the band so that it doesn’t slip on your wrist. For more information, see How do I track my heart rate with my Fitbit device?
    • Heart-rate tracking may not work with certain accessory bands, especially if they’re loose fitting. For best results, use the wristband that came with your device.
  2. If you’re doing an exercise such as high-intensity interval training, boxing, or other activities that cause your arm to move vigorously, try to relax your wrist and stay still for up to 10 seconds until your heart rate appears.

Note that heart-rate tracking is disabled during swimming.

After this, monitor your heart rate and see if the issue gets fixed.

Keep me posted on the outcome! 😀

I have been wearing this device for over a year with no problems. I have the original wristband. It stopped tracking sleep correctly due to inability to read consistent heart rate on 9/25/19.Is there any place to have it repaired or looked at?Sent from my T-Mobile 4G LTE Device

Hi @ESchwartz0312 have you tried restarting your Versa? If that doesn’t fix it, I would call Customer Support. Best of luck!

So many people are reporting the same thing, and just when they introduce the Versa 2.  I have experienced the exact same thing.  Crazy high heart rates, the battery life is now non-existent and now it will randomly give a heart rate, if at all.

I also noticed the timing of my device no longer working correctly (release of Versa 2). I also have non-existent HR or totally off the chart. I am a fitness instructor and use my Versa religiously.Hopefully issue will be resolved shortlySent from my T-Mobile 4G LTE Device
