My wife and I have identical phones (Samsung Galaxy S7), identical Fitbit Versa Special edition and running the same firmware on the phones (Android 😎 and on the Versa (32.32.12.19).
My Versa is getting all notifications (text, email and phone calls). My wife is getting text message and email notifications but nothing for phone calls. No incoming call notification, no missed call notifications). The test call notification in the app does nothing.
I have followed every procedure that has been published for troubleshooting notifications including factory resets, re-installing apps, sacrificing a chicken etc but nothing has changed the behavior on my wifes Versa.
Is there a Versa failure mode that would break just this one notification or am I still missing a configuration option ?

Did you restart her Versa several times? If that doesnt fix it try opening her account on your phone and set her up for all notifications and see if calls go to her Versa (or vice versa - your watch on her phone). That way you will be able to tell if it is the Versa or the phone that is not doing the right thing

Are you sure that the call notification on your wife's Versa is turned on? You can verify this in the "Notification Settings".

@Viceversa Just a thought - is your wife's phone in DND (Do Not Disturb) mode? Also, set the push notifications from the phone/caller app to HIGH priority in the Android Notifications Settings. If you're using DND, also make sure you have Always Vibrate enabled in the Fitbit mobile app.

The suggestion to test my wife's Versa with my phone was a good one. I found that when connected to my phone her Versa works as expected. When I connect my Versa to her phone it exhibits the same problem, no call notifications.
Her phone is not in DND mode, all notification settings look correct. If I call her phone even when it is locked I hear the ring tone and it vibrates but the Versa is silent. However it does not seem to be an issue with her Versa since it works with my G7 phone. Her Pebble was working fine before I unpaired it and removed the Pebble app as part of the troubleshooting and other notifications are functioning as normal as they can on a Versa.

@Viceversa Can you please go to Android settings on your wife's phone>Apps>App Permissions>Telephone (Phone)> and check Fitbit app is enabled? You can access the same info by opening App List, scrolling down to Fitbit and opening Permissions.

I have verified that fitbit is enabled in the app phone permissions list.

@Viceversa Disable it, reboot the phone, and enable it back. This must be something about either Samsung phone app settings or notification settings in Fitbit mobile app. The only way would be to compare your settings with your wife's. The worst case scenario, restore the phone.

I think at this point I have completed every documented voodoo procedure twice and tried all of the suggestions with no change in the behavior so the next thing will be to persuade my wife to let me factory reset her phone. She doesnt use it much as a phone so with the sms and email notifications working we will agree with Meatloaf, two out of three aint bad.

@Viceversa I agree with you. I would do factory reset of the phone, but again it's such a pain... Good luck!
