Versa not receiving notifications from Outlook

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have managed to sync my Versa to my Android. I am receiving notifications for whatsapp, sms messages, Gmail, calls. But for some reasons, I cannot seems to get notifications from Outlook or Outlook Calendar.

I have checked that the notifications is on in the phone setting and in the Fitbit app setting. Can someone help me out with this?

Thanks.

A warm welcome to the Community @Coriela.

Thanks for troubleshooting this by yourself. If you aren't receiving your Outlook notifications, I recommend going to the "App Notifications" from your Fitbit app, disable Outlook notifications, restart your phone, go back to the Fitbit app and enable the notifications you want to receive.

Also, check that your Fitbit app is updated by following the instructions provided in the How do I update the Fitbit app for Android? post.

I hope this helps, let me know the outcome. Robot Happy

Hello,

I did what was suggested, but still not getting calendar/meeting/event reminders on Versa. Any other possible solutions?

Did you ever figure this out? I’m having the same issue.

I'm having the same problem. Notifications are turned on properly, other notifications are working. But Outlook and calendar events will not come through. This is a pretty important feature to have working. Any solution??

Same problem - I get Outlook calendar notifications but not email. Planning to return my Versa if I can't get this figured out.

Pixel 2 XL (stock, not rooted)

Outlook App installed on phone

Have tried every combination I can think of in the FitBit App notifications section.

If I set email default to Gmail, they come through fine. Same for texts. But for Outlook, no matter what I do, don't get notifications for email.

Hi Everyone,

I was having the same issue today when I first got my Fitbit Versa.  I could get notifications for everything except for emails; texts, phone calls, and gmail emails all came through instantly.  I have a Pixel 2 XL running Android Pie.  I tried Fitbit support online, but didn't get anywhere.

After I some trial and error, I was able to adjust the settings in the email app on my phone to get notifications on my watch.  In the phone email app go to Settings>Notifications>New mail sound>Behavior.  From that menu select either "Make sound" or "Make sound and pop on screen" to get your emails on the Versa.  I initially had "Show silently," and could not get my mail on my watch.  Toggling to either of those new options worked.

Because of this change your phone will now vibrate when your email comes through, and your watch will vibrate as well.  In the past, my phone only showed an email notification and did not make a sound/vibrate, so this will take some getting used to.  However, at least I know I can get my messages on my watch if I want them.

(For some reason I can't post my reply if I type the name of the phone email app, but I am referring to o u t l 0 0 k.)

After struggling with this for 2 days, I fiiiiiinally figured it out! My job switched to a secured version of Outlook. So my email notifications from my Android phone stopped coming through on my Versa. I went to the Playstore and downloaded Outlook again (in addition to the secured version for my job) and it worked! Hope this helps. Good luck.

So do you get your work email alerts on your versa or just your personal emails?

I was getting both. But, sadly, it only lasted for about 24 hours. I'm
going to check with our IT department at work tomorrow. I will update my
post with what I find out. Very frustrating.

😔😔 Soooo.... My employer switched to a dual authentication app that includes Outliook. I found out that for security reasons, notifications will not be possible. We also don't even get notifications on our mobile phones. So, it doesn't sound like it will ever work.

Same here, no Outlook notifications

I used a Pebble before and it was MUCH simpler. I've gone through all Fitbit settings and no luck.

Pls can support at Fitbit advise? It's quite annoying as I need meeting reminders, not emails.

Thanks

My job made some changes for more electronic safety. So, unfortunately, I
don't think there is a way around it for me. I tried everything. Fitbit
tech support was not very helpful. They just told me to try the things I
had already tried. But, again, I think it's mostly due to the electronic
safety changes my job made.
