Versa not receiving text messages or changing clock color

I have gone through ALL the steps to ensure everything is step up properly for notifications and still NO text messages. I have an iPhone and considering switching to Apple Watch. Enjoyed Versa until I stopped getting text. I receive all other notifications including letting me know I’m on the phone which I don’t need. Now, I’ve updated it today and the color on the face will not change from green no matter what I select.

@Srwnoe, welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm sorry to hear that your Fitbit Versa is not receiving text messages and the clock face color won't change. I totally understand how you feel about this.

I'd like you to try the troubleshooting steps that are listed in this help article. After this, monitor your watch and see if the issue gets fixed.

Regarding the green color, try changing the clock face to one developed by Fitbit, not a third party clock face and see if the issue gets fixed as well.

Keep me posted on the outcome.

I have done ALL the troubleshooting options several times and nothing works. It has received a text message in 2 months. I was hoping the update on yesterday would fix it but now I can’t even get the color on the face to change.
I liked the Versa and the price was reasonable. But it’s not worth the price if it’s not working as it should. I’m seeing others have been having a lot of issues also.
Fitbit will need to step up it game if they want to be competitive.

I had the same issue with the clock face color after the update, I signed out of the app restarted my phone and the watch and sign back in, it gave me a message that it was completing some set up after that I was able to change the watch face color again. As for the notifications oh, it seems to be an ongoing issue because there is so much different hardware out there and no clear standard apparently is used that developers can rely on, what works on one phone may not work on another I had the same issues and had to change some of the Bluetooth settings in my phone under developer mode specifically avrcp had to be set to 1.6., not sure if that would alleviate your issue as well but it's worth a shot.

Also clear storage and cache and the app on your phone and sign back in to Fitbit app,  will then let you set notifications back up again.
