Hi Community,
I received my versa in May as a Mother's Day present. For the first few weeks everything worked perfectly and then one day it stopped logging active minutes. After troubleshooting online, I switched off the watch, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, turned the watch back on. It was successful and for a few days it logged active minutes. Then it stopped again. This has happened repeatedly now where active minutes will not log, even after a 30 minute workout.
If I switch the watch off and on then it sometimes will log one round of active minutes then stop. For example I switched it off and on this morning, started my workout and then had to stop as my daughter needed me. It logged 12 minutes. Came back and continued working out for another 20 -25 minutes. No active minutes logged, despite heart rate incieasing. If I go by past experience, it won't log active minutes again until the watch has been switched off and on again.
Does anyone know why my watch is doing this or how to fix it. It's so frustrating and disheartening 😟
I will say I went horse riding last week and it auto-recognised that I was walking so it logged that in my track activity section and gave me active minutes for that?

@E.Myers in theory it's possible to call something a "workout" without earning active minutes. For workout to be classified as active one needs to exeede 3 METs. For example, I do have Fitbit recognized walks that lasted long but I received only few active minutes. It's because they were more of a stroll. Now, I'm not saying it's your case, especially if your heart goes into fatburn or cardio zone (or higher). My advice is to factory reset (wipe and set up again) your versa. Just remember to sync it first.

I have the same problem. Always "0" active minutes.

@likardel even when you work out? Is your heart rate being tracked properly? Could you attach the screenshot of your heart rate recording during one of your workouts? For now you can try rebooting Versa several times by pressing and holding the left and bottom right buttons until Fitbit logo flashes.

Me too. It's very annoying only had mine two weeks. It sounds like it's a product error

Mine is doing the same thing. I just walked 45 mins. at a very rapid pace and my heart rate was in the burn zone. I wish I hadn't gotten this. Doesn't sound like there is a solution. My fitbit is at the most recent update.

@tpslaught Can you please attach some screenshots of the active minutes chart, calorie burn and heart rate recordings from your Fitbit mobile app? Also, please swipe up on the main screen of your Versa to open today app and take a picture of the display showing your heart rate and active minutes. Please attach all these pictures so we can figure out what is going on. This is not normal, obviously. I would like to figure out if we're dealing with software or hardware issue here.
