I recently updated my versa and now it won't record my distance for anything. Prior to the update I never had to have my phone with me, but got all the feedback as far as distance on a run. Now it won't do that. I don't wants to keep my phone with me, so I hope this update doesn't require that. What else could have gone wrong? It also failed on a recent bike ride. Only a year old, and fine until the update.

Hi @bethsversa, it's great to see you in our Fitbit Community. I'm sorry to hear that your Fitbit Versa is not recording your distance. I totally understand how you feel about this.
I'd like you to restart your Versa as described in this help article. After this, check out this help page which explains how your Fitbit device tracks your distance traveled. Finally, monitor your watch for the next 24 hours and see if it tracks your distance properly.
