I wore my Versa for the first time last night, all ok apart from it recorded just sleep stages not length of time asleep, it recognised the time I went to sleep and woke up but no length recorded? My Charge 2 worked perfectly before.

Hi! It's a bug with the new system apparently. If you click 'Edit Sleep Time' and change the start time by 1 minute prior, you'll be able to see the time periods once it's recalibrated. Hopefully it's fixed soon!

My new versa did the same thing, it showed the sleep stages in the pictorial, but showed 0 sleep time

I had the same problem on the first night I bought the device. I had no problem with my Blaze.

Do I have to do this every day?

i'm not sure when it will be fixed but FitBit are investigating so hopefully it will be resolved soon. I also had a Blaze and never had this issue

I changed target sleep time, bed time, & wake time, then sync’d. Still does not record the hours/minutes. Anything else recommended?

Editing the sleep log did not work for me. Any other ideas?

Are you definitely changing the actual sleep log or the target times for sleeping and waking? You need to change the log for that specific day and it will recalibrate

It worked every night but last night. Weird? Come on Fitbit!

I know - very odd and not a problem i've ever encountered before with any prior fitbit device. Perhaps just a new release glitch! Fingers crossed

I had this same issue. I wore it for the first time last night and it shows the pattern of sleep but it doesn't calculate the time spent in each stage or the total time I slept.
Is this being worked on? Its part of the reason I got the versa.

For whatever it's worth, Fitbit is aware of the problem and is working on it.
It is not a Versa problem, it's an app problem. I have a Charge 2 and the problem started yesterday. It's recording the sleep stages, but shows 0 min slept.
Go into the sleep log and edit the sleep time by one minute and save. It will recalculate and show the hours and minutes slept.

I tried deleting my sleep log, then adding it again. It did record hours of total sleep the, but it was in the old format like that of my Alta, not the REM & deep sleep. Now I cannot get that back. Very frustrating!

This also happened to me last night.

I had the same problem with my new Versa (also with notifications too). The way I was able to solve it was to switch my settings to say it was on my dominant arm. Even though it wasn’t.
Since then , notifications, sleep, and heart rate all get recorded.

And it's now December and my Versa is not recording my sleep at night consistently. I did reset the sleep times so hopefully that will solve the problem but shouldn't Fitbit have solved this problem by now???

got my Versa for a Christmas present, have only just got round to checking out the sleep recording and realised nothing had been recorded. My wife has been looking online for a few hours trying to establish what was wrong. My son had set the watch up for me and had selected 12hr instead of 24hr clock. Fingers crossed this works tonight.

Where do you find edit sleep time in the Fitbit app or on the Fitbit versa band?
