Versa not registering my sleep accurately

I’ve had my Versa probably around a year now. I had an Alta that I loved but it died and I decided to upgrade, sorry I did. This watch won’t track my sleep correctly at all. I’m normally in bed asleep by 10 pm and up at 5:30 am for work. Today it said I fell asleep at 146 am and woke at 745 am. Wrong as I’m already at work at that time.

Ive tried restarting it multiple times, I’ve tried wearing it higher on my wrist, I’ve tried everything else on the and other forums. I don’t know what to do, I know it’s not accurate. Ready to ditch it and get a different brand.

Also when I charged it last, overnight, sitting on my dresser burned 643 calories. Makes me wonder if anything is accurate

Welcome to the Community, @Jeanniemih.

Thanks for troubleshooting this sleep issue. If you are having problems with your sleep information, I recommend trying the following:

  1. Make sure to not take off your tracker during the night.
  2. Do you remember being awake during the night? If yes, that solves it! Keep in mind that your tracker will detect if you are awake and will stop the sleep tracking process. If no, proceed to step three.
  3. Restart the tracker. See instructions in the help article: How do I restart my Fitbit device?.
  4. Confirm that the tracker is snug on your wrist (with an HR tracker, the lights shouldn't be visible).
  5. Try sleeping with the tracker on your non-dominant hand.
  6. If the setting was set to sensitive, please switch it to normal.
  7. If steps 1-6 do not solve the issue, I suggest manually editing the sleep log to reflect the time slept. See instructions in the article: How do I edit my sleep history in the Fitbit app?.

About the calories, check the article: How does my Fitbit device calculate my daily activity?.

Let me know the outcome.

My Versa 2 was working well until a few weeks ago.  Now I can't get it to show all of my sleep time.  Around the same time I found the battery was draining faster than it had been.
