Hello @Lld2 thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board.
I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for sharing your experience with us. Tell me, are you not able to see heart rate and sleep hours in the watch itself or in the Fitbit app? Which clock-face are you currently using? Have you restarted your Versa by pressing and holding the Back and Select buttons (left and bottom right) until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen?
This information will be very helpful for us to check this further and determine which course of action should we take.
If there's anything else we can do for you, please feel free to reply.

I also see no heart rate. I have restarted both the app and the watch. There is a small clear window in between the lights that flash and it appears to have a burn mark behind it .

I am having the same problem with my Versa. At first I noticed it was stuck on a high heart rate of 120 bpm and I reset my Versa. The 120 bpm went away but it is now not reading my heartrate on either the Versa or the app on my phone.

I have the same problem and I’m SO SICK of Fitbit telling us to restart our watches. We should not have to restart our watches every few hours to get them to work.

Yes last night my sleep didn’t track. I have restarted Versa. Restarted phone. Deleted & reloaded app.. still not working.

My sleep is not logging either and I have only had my watch for a few months. I have also restarted my watch several times with no success.

Mine has started twice but reading high. This only lasts for a few minutes and then no reading. I spoke with their customer service and was told they are aware of the problem and they are working on an update.

A few nights ago, I suddenly had no sleep record - due to ‘trouble reading heart rate.’ Since then, my HR readings have been consistently high (+50-80BPM).
I’ve cleaned the sensors, reset and synced... it will then read normally for a few minutes and then climb again.
It is also reading a heart rate when it is fully off my wrist altogether. Sensor isn’t turning off like it used to.
I’ve had this Versa for just a little over a year. If this isn’t fixable, I’ll ask for an Apple Watch for Christmas. Don’t like to bail on Fitbit (been wearing them for years and years, since first gen!), but I’d miss reliable sleep tracking - one of my main uses for it.

Mine has started working again, too! (I.e. sleep tracking/recording)

Is there an admin or mod that can confirm a software update?

Headed into a chat with customer service and they were able to verify that my heart rate ‘laser’ was on the fritz. (A few days after the above post, it had stopped blinking altogether.)
Still under warranty, so happily a replacement is on its way!

Hello everyone. Sorry for the delay in my reply.
Let me assist you with your heart rate and sleep tracking. For the heart rate I suggest you clean the back of your device with cotton and rubbing alcohol and restart it. Turn the heart rate off, save and sync then turn it on save and sync again. Also check these tips to improve the heart rate reading on your device.
Regarding the sleep, your device will start recording sleep after it detects an hour of inactivity. If you have a light sleep or move too much then this may difficult your sleep detection. Additionally you can try wearing your device on your non dominant hand to decrease the amount of movement it is subjected to. Finally you can restart your device. You can also manually log your sleep time. You can read more about sleep detection here.
Let me know how it goes.

I've been having so much trouble between HR not logging and my exercise/runs stopping after every 0.5 mile and losing my data. I called customer service 3 times between April and now to ask about it and keep being told it would be a software update to fix these multiple issues.
This week I ordered a Garmin Fenix 5S. Sorry fitbit. I really loved my Versa (I pre-ordered it when it came out, and it had been great for a year or so minus the band breaking twice). But I'm excited to try out Garmin instead based on the experiences I've had lately...
