Versa not showing percentage while charging (even with double tap)

I just got mine in the mail, it just shows the fitbit symbol while "charging", my app won't connect (because I don't think it can turn on), and it won't show the percentage charged when i double tap, all it shows is the fitbit symbol off and on.. do i need to just let it sit on the charger for a while before I try? Also, the strap is  impossible to press down at the right angle to switch to the large. I usually am pretty quick to get stuff set up, not sure whats going on

Right, should be charged enough now. Use your mobile's browser to go to www.fitbit.com/setup and create an account using an email address you have access to, after verifying, follow the "new tracker" dialog to add your versa to the account.

Regarding the strap, here are some closeups and video, sorry for the trouble, you'll get it 😉

I have the app, and i made an account. It hasn't been able to connect to the fitbit because all it shows is the symbol off and on, I've tried factory resetting, (couldnt get the vibration), and normal restarting, just comes back to the symbol...

It is, and i've tried turning it on n off, restarting my phone. I never had the "connect to fitbit app" prompt that i've seen on videos

Either your mobile bluetooth is not working or your Versa's is not.

You can verify your mobile is OK if you have a family member or friend with a mobile opens bluetooth (no need for an App) in settings and their mobile doesn't discover ("see") Versa under "other devices". If it does, your mobile bluetooth is not working, if it doesn't see it either then you'll have to contact customer service chat for more options - be sure to let them know what you tried Customer service, they are ready to help.
