Versa not syncing or connecting to phone

My fitbit versa stopped syncing first of all I searched for advice and was told to uninstall app and return to factory settings which I did now it won't reconnect to my phone and keeps flashing up with chinese writing I restart the watch and it keeps coming back to chinese writing and won't do anything. How do I solve this?

Hi there @barbaramcgahan, welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa before posting your inquiry. I understand how you must be feeling. 

 

In addition to the steps you've done, please try the following:

 

  • Remove your Versa  from your Fitbit account and make sure it no longer appears on your phone's Bluetooth settings
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Setup your Versa again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa.
