Versa not syncing with phone or iPad

If I try to sync my Versa on either my phone or   iPad, I have to reset the unit before the app can find the unit. I have also noticed that at times if the unit is tapped to wake it up, the unit does not wake even though settings has it to wake on movement.

Let me help you with your Versa not syncing and not waking up. You mentioned the iPad but not the phone you are using. Which phone are you using? Is it compatibleYou can try the following:

 

  • Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  • Restart your phone and restart your device.
  • Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  • You can find additional suggestions here.

Regarding the screen not lighting up make sure you are tapping the device at the base or properly turn your wrist so it detects the movement.

It was an iPhone 8+ at the time, but it’s still happening with an iPhone XS Max
