Versa not tracking HR or sleep

Hi all

I recently switched over from an ionic to a versa. I found the ionic bulky on my small wrists. But I never had any problems with my ionic. But the new versa which I've only had for a couple of days doesn't seem to track my heart rate or sleep as good. I've rebooted the versa a couple of times via settings>about>shutdown, but without any luck.

I've read on the forum it could be to do with the grey woven band? Is that true? Because that's one of the reasons I went with the special edition cos I loved the grey woven band.

I've noticed if I wear the versa a little higher up on my arm, it tracks my heart rate. But I have to have this on really tight - to the point it leaves the dent marks on my skin. But if I loosen it by one, the watch drops lower down my arm and stops tracking heart rate.

Has anyone else noticed that the versa has to be on tighter compared to the ionic? Any help and advice would be appreciated.

@StephanieJayneP The sleep won't be tracked if HR is not recorded. Make sure the sensor lights are blinking and that your tracker's battery is not critically low. Having said that, yes you need to adjust the way you wear your tracker for the HR to get detected. Yes, it is possible for the band to impact it, IMHO. Perhaps you could try a different band?

Thanks so much for getting back to me Smiley Happy

The HR is working on/off throughout the day. But mostly it's on. Just a couple of times I've looked and its blank --. So thought I'd given the grey woven band another shot last night, but again no sleep recorded. Imma give the normal band a try today and tonight. Hopefully this fixes it.

I'm finding I'm having to wear the versa a lot higher up my wrist for it to detect HR compared to where I wore my Ionic. Has anyone else noticed this?

So last night my versa actually tracked my sleep Smiley Happy I used the normal band rather than woven grey band. Seems like I will only be able to wear the special edition band for special occasions lol and day to day use the rubber bands.

The versa definitely seems more sensitive. I have to wear it more snug than my ionic and it has to be higher up on my arm to get a consistent HR.

Thanks again for your reply!
