Versa not tracking distance on "Treadmill" exercise.

My Versa used to track distance correctly on the treadmill under the run function but recently it has not. A 6km run ends up recorded as 0.8km. The initial few hundred meters seem fine but then it seems to stall on the distance logged at some point and does not move. Seems that it may be having problems connecting to GPS. Help?

@Justinyip Welcome!  If you're using the treadmill, you should not use the "Run" workout function, as you aren't really moving so the GPS is useless.  Use the "treadmill" workout instead and you'll get better results!  If you don't see "Treadmill" on your Versa, go into your Fitbit app on your phone, click on the icon of your Versa and scroll down to Exercise Shortcuts.  You can add Treadmill in this menu.  Keep in mind, you may need to remove an existing exercise first.

Thanks Heather! I will try that. Funny thing is that i have used the Run function more than a dozen times in the gym treadmill and it seemed to record an accord distance when i compare it with the treadmill's own distance logged. Only recently did it seem to fail. I was toggling with the GPS as i was not sure whether that was the cause.

Hello @Justinyip thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. It's nice to see you too @Heather-S, thanks for all your help. 🙂

@Justinyip I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for sharing your experience with us. As @Heather-S mentioned, please use the "Treamill" shortcut in the Exercise tile instead of the "Run" shortcut so your Versa can track your distance more accurately.

If you have found @Heather-S's post helpful, please mark it as a solution; this will be very helpful for other members of the Community facing the same situation.
