My versa is reading my heart rate way higher than it really is, which in turn is providing a false report of calories burned. I have done the factor reset, deleted the app and reinstalled three times to no avail. I tried “on line chat, however there were 46 people in que ahead of me........i have about had enough and am on the edge of ordering a garmin.

@Nk1545 welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm happy to assist you with your Fitbit Versa since the it's not providing accurate heart rate data. By the way, thank you for troubleshooting this issue before contacting our forums.
I'd like you to try the troubleshooting steps that are listed in this help article. It contains steps that you already did but you can skip them and proceed with the rest. Finally, monitor your Versa and see if it provides accurate heart rate readings.
Keep me posted on the outcome!

I am having the same issue, and have been in contact with three different people on chat support over the last two weeks. They have told me it is a "bug" and that it is "being worked on." I asked for an ETA on when this issue will be fixed and I wasn't given even a vague timeline. It is so frustrating. I also restarted my Versa, turned heart rate tracking off and on, restarted again...and still it is tracking my heart rate in the cardio zone all day. This might be the end of my Fitbit relationship.

I'm also having the insanely high heart rate readings. I have a desk job and though I try to get up and walk around, you'd think I was doing some insane elite marathon the past 3 days. (2+ hours in peak/5+ hours in cardio, etc., per day). I even called and was left very unhappy with the customer service. I have this ugly thing on my wrist for one reason - to track my heart rate - and it is failing at its one job.

Mine actually started tracking correctly on Sunday. I went from "burning" over 6,500 calories a day to my more normal 2,700. It also started correctly tracking my sleep again.Of course this happened RIGHT as the Apple watch had discounts everywhere. I did have to restart it, but it seems the bug I was experiencing has been fixed. I hope yours is part of the bug and restarting it fixes the heart rate issue. If something like this happens again, and customer support is so slow to respond, I will have to switch over to Apple. Good Luck!
