Versa not tracking heart rate or sleep

I've had this issue with my Versa for several weeks, since February 7 I believe.  At first, it quit tracking my heart rate and sleep and the lights on the back of the watch were red instead of green.  After a few weeks, the lights turned back green and it started showing a heart rate again, but not accurately.  It usually shows an accurate heart rate for the first few minutes I wear it, but then it starts to increase up to 160-170 (even when I'm just sitting on the couch, mind you) and then decreases back down to 60-80.  It gets stuck in this loop until I take it off again.  I don't know if it's tracking steps accurately, as I get frustrated every time I put it on, so I haven't worn it long enough to notice the step tracking.  It also hasn't tracked my sleep since the heart rate quit working.  I read someone's post on here that the issues are due to an update that was pushed out by Fitbit, and they know the bug exists, but don't have a planned resolution.  I've tried all the recommended fixes from Fitbit (rebooting, updating, factory reset) and none of them have resolved my issue.  I'm ready to throw it in the trash and switch to a different brand of tracking device.  This is quite possibly the worst customer service I have ever received and I've told every person I know about my experience.  Not good Fitbit!!!!

@Brig07 Welcome! It's nice to have you on board! Sorry for the delay in my reply.

Let me help you with your Versa not reading your heart rate or sleep and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. I suggest you clean the back of your device with cotton and rubbing alcohol and restart it. Turn the heart rate off, save and sync then turn it on save and sync again. Also check these tips to improve the heart rate reading on your device.

Regarding sleep, your device will start recording sleep after it detects an hour of inactivity. If you have a light sleep or move too much then this may difficult your sleep detection. Additionally you can try wearing your device on your non dominant hand to decrease the amount of movement it is subjected to. Finally you can restart your device. You can also manually log your sleep time. You can read more about sleep detection here.

Finally if your device responds then please wear it to see if you notice any discrepancy on the step count.

Let me know how it goes.
