I’ve had my Versa for a while and love it. Today I decided to try out the bike mode and was really disappointed. I cycled 24 miles and Versa tracked less then half of that. I rebooted my watch and phone countless times, it would not connect to be able to track my biking and when it finally did, it would stop tracking. My activity history today is crazy with the amount of attempts made to get it to work. I manually started bike mode. It’s also counted my cycle as over 10,000 steps but on my dashboard it’s saying I’ve done less then 2 miles today??
please can you advise. Thanks

I’ve had the same issue in bike mode. Counts steps but not miles. I know how many miles I biked so I did an edit and added the miles but when you do that your stats get all screwy.
Very disappointed with the bike tracking.

It’s so frustrating and at £199 for the watch we shouldn’t be having to manually adding exercise. Seems to be an issue with a lot of people.

I've been having the same problem for months, and it's clear that this is a very common issue.
I can't guarantee this will work for everyone, but what seems to have caused the problem for me was the sleep setting for my phone display (Moto G6). I had it set so that the display would go into sleep mode after 2 minutes, which I discovered meant that my Versa would lose its connection with the phone after 2 minutes.
Before biking to work this morning, I tried changing the display sleep setting to 30 minutes (the maximum on the Moto G6). While I was biking, I kept the phone on with the Fitbit app running in the foreground. My ride was only about 10 minutes, and - for the first time since I started using the watch - the Versa and phone stayed connected for the entire ride; the app also mapped my ride correctly.
The problem here is that for the Moto G6 (and maybe other phones as well), 30 minutes is the maximum, so this solution won't work for rides over 30 minutes. I've just downloaded an Android app called "Keep Screen On," which allows you to prevent the screen going off for the apps that you choose. I haven't tested it yet, but when I have time to take a bike ride of over 30 minutes, I'll see if it works and report back.
Again, this solution may not work for everyone, but it worked for me this morning.

I have exactly the same problem. Tracking in bike mode is useless. It keeps on going to pause and only tracks about a third of the activity.
thank you
