Versa not tracking sleep, heart rate and text notifications

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I've been a happy camper with my Versa for almost one year. Within the past month, it has stopped tracking sleep (yes I wear it tight on my wrist), sending notifications for messages & most recently (within the past week), it's stopped tracking my heart rate.

I've tried all of the tips separately to address these issues but none of them have worked. It's literally one year to the day or two of purchase.

Any tips for how I can resolve these issues? Is there a holistic approach I can take that would sort these out simultaneously? Or should I send it back & ask for a new one (purchased through amazon).

Thanks

Hi @HaniM, welcome to the Community Forums!

Thanks for letting me know about your Versa, and I'm sorry that you've had this experience. I'll help you out with all your inquiries. First of all, as you may know there are some conditions that may prevent your Versa from recording sleep stages, such as the following:

  • You used the Begin Sleep Now, even if you were wearing your device on your wrist.
  • The battery of the tracker is almost empty when you go to bed (under 25%).
  • You sleep less than 3 hours.
  • The bracelet is too loose or too tight on the wrist. You should be able to put your index finger between the bracelet and your arm without much resistance, so that your pulse is recorded regularly and thus the sleep phases can be recognized. Please check this help article.

If these factors don't apply to you, I'd recommend to restart your Versa, as well to turn off and on the heart rate function by swiping from right to left and tapping on settings directly from your Versa. This will also help to get the heart rate function working. correctly.

Now, about the notifications, may I know your phone's model? Is the Fitbit app updated to the latest version? Please give a try to the following troubleshooting:

  1. Remove the Versa from the Bluetooth settings.
  2. Turn off any other Bluetooth connection nearby.
  3. Close the Fitbit app from the open apps and reboot your phone.
  4. Open the Fitbit app, tap the account icon > Versa.
  5. Tap on "Notifications" and follow the onscreen instructions.

Let me know how it goes. Woman Happy
