Please fix the sleep tracking on my new fitbit versa.  I love the watch but miss not having any kind of accurate sleep tracking.  Very disappointed and would not recommend this product until the issue is resolved.

I'm on my 3rd Fitbit now and it would appear that like most products these days, that 12 months is the shelf life! I like my versa lite more than my previous versa!

Well that is disappointing to know. For $190 you would think you could get more out of it. It seems to have something to do with the March 2nd update. Thank you for your reply.

I'm also having the same problem, it worked a couple of times and then stopped, worked another night and then stopped completely.  I've followed all the instructions including setting it to 'sensitive'.  Not sure what else I can do other than return it to the store.

My Versa is also not tracking sleep anymore. I’ve tried everything that has been suggested and nothing still. I love this thing, but besides the step tracker, it’s the main reason I bought it. Please fix this issue!

Mine just stopped working a few weeks ago and I even tried to fix it on the fitbit App and no luck, I keep restarting phone and my Versa and still no luck.

This is very disappointing. Mine stopped tracking my sleep 2 days ago and I’ve restarted my phone and my Fitbit numerous times. My battery is fine and my Fitbit is clean

Guess I need to call their Customer Service. These watches should last longer than 2 years.

Hi, I notice this post is nearly 3 years old, I wonder if the issue was ever resolved pls? Cos I just bought a Versa 3 mainly for the sleep data, and in the last 19 nights I wore it, only two of those showed "sleep stages" and "sleep score"! The rest of the nights it's just plain "Sleep Pattern"... no REM, no Breathing Rate data, and no Heart Rate Variability data... a piece of junk I hate to say. I have posted about this issue somewhere here but have hardly got any helpful suggestions apart from the usual ones in the FAQ. What's more, here in Hong Kong, there is no physical shop to bring it to have it looked at let alone get a replacement or refund! Am totally peeved! 😡

It’s never been fixed as far as I know. One solution worked for me temporarily, but my watch went back to not tracking my sleep at all after three days. I gave up.

THX for the grim reply... and I only just bought mine... $230 down the drain 😭

Since my last post, regarding Fitbit Versa 2 not tracking sleep, with the exception of 3-4 times, my tracker has been working well.  Those times when Fitbit didn't track sleep, I'd turn it off for 30 seconds and turn back on. It would sync and track time correctly. One time, I noticed my band was too loose on my wrist. When I tightened it, it tracked again. What helped me when my Fitbit wasn't tracking early on was: I personally spoke with one of Fitbit customer service representatives. She took me through several steps that I'd already tried myself. She did have me turn my unit off a couple of times.  A few days later, after it was working so good, I regretted not jotting down everything she had me do with my Fitbit- step by step.  I'm very pleased with my Fitbit. TURN IT OFF OCCASIONALLY AND SEE IF IT SHOWS SLEEP DETAILS WHEN IT SYNCS AFTER COMING BACK ON.

The only thing that's worked for me consistently now is turning my watch face to inside my wrist when I sleep. It's tracking sleep ever since. Everything else tracks fine with the face in 'normal' position. If I forget to turn it at night, it does not track sleep. Annoying but liveable...
