Versa not tracking swimming accurately.

Very annoying... been using my Versa to tack my swimming for about a month. It seems to work most of the time, but today I swam for just under an hour from 1:56pm to 2:48pm, for 53 minutes.  On the main screen under exercise, the display showed 30:02 minutes. When I clicked on the 3 dots to edit the information, the start and stop times are exactly accurate - it displayed 1:56pm to 2:48pm. I actually swam 100 lengths today, but the main swim screen only showed 60 lengths, sand the time there was not accurate either, showing only 30:02. The strange thing is that the time was accurate on the edit exercise details screen, showing 1:56pm to 2:48pm. What's going on?

Also, I thought the last software update provided automatic tracking for swimming, but if I don't  manually start my swim on the watch, it doesn't track it. I forgot to manually start it once recently and noticed it didn't track my swim at all. Btw, so you can try to trouble shoot what's going on, my  normal swim is continuous with little or no breaks, doing a flip turn at both end most of the time. I alternate between, free style, breath stroke and back stroke.  Hopefully you can help me figure out  whats going on?

I have trouble with my Versa tracking my swimming as well.  I turn on the swim function when I get into the pool.  Itkerps track of my lengths as I program it, but then, I cannot turn it off when I am done and it does not report my swimming on my phone app unless I restart  it a few times later.  Then, it records outrageous times, like 258 minutes but no lengths. The instructions on how to set the swimming function do not cover this.  So, my question is this..what should I do to improve my swim function tracking?
