My Versa won't turn on after factory reset.

Battery was fully charged. Tried everything, Charging, two-button start, three button reset.

There is no display, no vibration when fixed to charger. Just a blank screen. Undetectable on bluetooth also. Please help.

Appreciate your patient reply @Guy_ ! With such a possibility of failure during factory reset, Fitbit should not give that option to the user, or at least provide a warning that the gadget may die in the process.

I strongly suspect that the product is out of warranty and is designed to fail after a point so that users are forced to buy a new tracker! I'm done with Fitbit...will try Garmin or something else. The only good part about the company seems to be the community and great folks like you! Thanks, once again.

HI @Sugato - it seems the factory reset failed [due to a known issue] and the watch may no longer work.

To confirm try chat via the Fitbit App, click profile photo, Help & Support, Contact Customer Support.

Thanks for your reply...it is rather disappointing and unfair that the device will die when a factory reset is done. Help is abysmal as there is not provision to write to them, or connect with them through email or otherwise. Even the website has no accessible chatbox!

I've tried the chat in the app...that is a tad better and someone did come online. But mentioned that since all standard efforts have been made, the device is faulty. Difficult to digest since the device was working fine before the factory reset (did that since the time wasn't updating and was 30 minutes behind and wouldn't sync).

Is this a planned auto-destruct?

@Sugato- if it does fail during a factory reset, the problem is there is no fix for it. I tried all sorts on mine but fortunately it was still under warranty so got a replacement.

If yours is out of warranty, the Versa 2 is a close member that works well and is probably on offer. Don't go for anything more expensive unless there is something you want specifically but also check what you might lose as not all features appear on the latest watches, so you may end up with something that doesn't perform as well as the Versa..
