Versa not turning on after updating firmware

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

A few weeks ago, I was prompted to update the firmware for my Versa. It got stuck while updating, I turned it off, and then it wouldn't turn back on.

I have tried all troubleshooting steps I can find, and have already spoken to someone via chat and the phone. I've cleaned the charge points with rubbing alcohol, and I've plugged it into various outlets, using different chargers.

My device was a year and several months old, so I'm out of the warranty period. I've been offered a 35% discount that only works for a Versa 2, but that hardly seems fair. My device didn't stop working randomly (which would also be unfortunate) - it stopped working because of Fitbit's own firmware update.

Hi @RicardoFitbit,

I'm actually still waiting for a response to my message from Thursday so I do not consider the matter to be resolved. I also want others to be aware of this issue and be cautious about firmware updates and/or purchasing a Fitbit device without purchasing the additional warranty.

The same thing happened to me. The app says that there is 35% battery but it is dead. I’ve tried several things that I’ve read about but nothing works.
