Versa not vibrating for texts and emails

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Super frustrated after having no issues for months on my Versa. Now all of a sudden for last few weeks I receive no vibration alert for texts and emails. Calls and test calls are the only thing that go through, no other apps work either. Yes, I am aware of the quick setting and the other vibration setting. App up to date on Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. Reset Versa, Bluetooth, app, phone. Tried everything. I get alerts to Versa, I just don’t know they are there unless I swipe up.

It's great to see you around @jsalvaggio.

Thanks for troubleshooting this by yourself. Can you please tell me which troubleshoot have you tried so far? In the meantime, I recommend restarting your Versa by doing the following:

  1. Press and hold the back (left) and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This should take less than 10 seconds.
  2. Let go of the buttons.

Let me know the outcome. Smiley Happy

I have restarted both phone and Versa several times.  Uninstalled app, reinstalled and set all notifications back on, reset Bluetooth, checked all the notifications to make sure they are on Versa and phone app for email and text.  Using default text and email applications that were working just fine for last few months.

I am getting the emails and texts to the Versa, it's just not vibrating to alert me. So that tells me it's not anything with the connection, sync or phone.  Its a bug with the Versa.  Phone calls will vibrate still.

I had this issue to and I went to setting on the versa and notification was on! Then I went to the Fitbit troubleshoot site and you have to hold the left button until it shows the quick menu, it showed that my notifications were actually off.

Here is the site to help with other small things you might have missed 👍

I just got mine and after a week it stopped vibrating for messages but continued to vibrate for it's own stuff.  I finally got it straightened out by fiddling with settings.  I think there was an update that took it off vibrate.  It took me a few days to figure it all out and get it going again and I don't really remember now just exactly where thee setting was that had been turned off but it was not a quick find for me.  Once I did find it and reset it, it's been working fine again.

The quick menu solution worked!  Excellent. Thank you.

Easy fix!

Simply press and hold the back button until the "screen wake" or "music controls" screen pops up and press "notifications" to ON.

This accidentally gets pressed and turned off sometimes!  Same issue happens periodically to me.

I just figured this out! If youre in the Fitbit app settings and you select the Fitbit app under "Manage App Notifications," it will interfere and not vibrate even for a test call, much less any other notification.

Go into "Manage App Notifications," and uncheck the box next to "Fitbit."

Allow ~30 seconds to let that sink in, and then try the test call.

Hopefully that helps!!!
