Versa not vibrating when texts are sent to me

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

For some reason, my Fitbit Versa has now stopped vibrating and sending notifications for Text Messages.  I get notifications to move every hour, Facebook Messenger and other apps. I have gone as far as factory resetting my Versa, switching Bluetooth on and off and re-syncing but nothing works. It is very frustrating to spend £300 plus on a product that continues to be problematic - don't even get me started on my sleep function not working properly.  I keep getting basic sleep details even though I have carried out all Troubleshooting advice.  Before I end up chucking this Versa out for good and upgrade to Samsung, can anyone offer a glimmer of hope?  TIA

Hello @SunsetRunner, welcome to the Fitbit Community forums.

Thank you for all the information about your Versa that is not not receiving the notifications.

Make sure to check if the mobile device you're using is listed here as a compatible device with the Fitbit app: Which devices are compatible with the fitbit app?

In addition, please check all the necessary requirements and if you already tried all the steps listed here  to resolve problems with notifications: Why are notifications delayed or missing?

However, it's true that other users have been experiencing this same inconvenience. The team of developers is already aware of this and they're working to find a solution as soon as possible, but we haven't received any other updates for the moment.

Regarding your sleep not being tracked, please let me know if you're referring to the sleep stages, and which are the steps that you already tried and were not successful.

Please keep me posted.

Mine hasn’t received text notifications or let me see text messages for several months now. I’ve contacted support numerous times and the only feedback I get is “We know, be patient”. I’ve done all of the troubleshooting tips at least 10 times maybe more. I’m about ready to throw it in the trash and buy an Apple Watch or a Garmin.

I am also having trouble with my Versa not vibrating when getting texts. I have a Samsung Note 10 Plus phone. I've checked all my notification settings. Help please.

I'm unfortunately in the same situation and fitbit does not care and is clearly doing nothing about it, as it's been over a month with no end in site. I suggest Samsung watches, more pricey, yes, but at least they function as advertised and dont just stop working.

Mine stopped working back in November. No joke, I had it less than a week and Apple did an update and it hasn’t worked since. Just text message notifications. Everything else works. But, support is no help. They could care less.

I was just looking at the Samsung watches, but I really don't feel like
spending $300 -$400 when my Versa is less than a year old. I know they
finally worked on the problem for iphones, so I'm hoping they will do so
with androids also.

They haven’t fixed the IPhone issues. Mine still doesn’t work. Support doesn’t sound like they really care if it gets fixed or not. Same answer for over 2 months -We know it doesn’t work.

Come on, Fitbit.......seriously.....NO fix YET?  This has been going on with my and my daughter’s Fitbit Versa since last fall as well!  I was REALLY liking my Fitbit and relied on it regularly for vibration when receiving texts—particularly while I’m at work.

I still get vibration for calls, moving every hour, goals reached, but in this day and time when we RELY on text notification, this is really disappointing for a highly reputable company that provides so many other professional products!

I just can’t believe that the company hasn’t fixed this by now. I don’t want to switch to a different device, but I may have to. SO disappointing.

Mine is working now, no help from Fitbit. I went into my settings on my iPhone. Go to settings, notifications and change it to show previews and make sure it says always. Then go into settings, Fitbit, notifications and make sure allow notifications are on. Then restart your Fitbit by holding the side button down. This worked for me.
