Versa not working properly after getting wet in the rain

Can anyone tell me if my Versa will survive getting wet whilst running in a heavy downpour of rain. The button on left side doesn’t respond and then it opens the exercise menu on its own.  

im hoping it’ll dry out but would be grateful for any advice to try and get it back to normal.

Your Fitbit Versa is water-resistant to 50 meters and it shouldn't get damaged by a heavy downpour of rain. If you haven't done it already, please perform a restart by following these instructions.
