I have read a bunch of responses about the Versa not being compatible yet with the S10....seems weird to me but hey what do I know. Anyways I can get the Versa to sync but my notifications will only come to the watch for about an hour or so after restarting and re-syncing then they stop again. I always check the settings after a restart/re-sync to be sure notifications are on and unchanged. Anyone else with the issue found a fix?
Thanks

I just got a new versa on 1/9/20 and i have not been able to get any texts on my galaxy s10 as well. Have tried ALL the troubleshooting they have mentioned multiple times. It seems like the email/app notifications i get but still seem sporadic. This is my first time with a fitbit and totally bummed and disappointed that one of the main features i was looking for doesn't work 😞

Has anyone had any luck yet? I'm having the same issue that I was getting text notifications on my versa a few days ago and then they just stopped. I get phone calls and other app notifications but no texts. I have emailed support and two days ago they were "looking into it." There is obviously an issue with the software or update for it to just stop working suddenly . I'm starting to consider a galaxy watch instead. I have had horrible luck with fitbits.

I did my update on my phone and it stopped sending notifications... then I even updated the versa and still nothing. Sometimes it will see a call but then stops. Not working and very frustrating...

Hi all, I may have stumbled upon a work around or two for this annoying fitbit fault. Firstly I found that downloading the Google message app and setting that as default on both the phone and in the fitbit app allowed ALL text notifications to be shown on my Versa2. Secondly last night I re, re, re factory reset the Versa deleted the google message app and set the Samsung message app as default. This appeared to work as expected. However, when I set the amount of Today stats to the max of seven through the device the text messages stopped again. I dropped this to 4/7 and everything star8to work once more. Hopefully Fitbit will realized the fault is theirs, take ownership and release a software fix ASAP as for me the Samsung Galaxy watches are becoming more appealing.

Ok with the Versa turned on activate the screen and swipe up to access the Today stats. Keep swiping up until you see a settings box. Tap the box and choose what data you would like to see displayed. As previously mentioned when I ticked all of the (7) the notifications to the Versa stopped coming through but ticking only 4/7 they suddenly started to work again.

Are you getting text notifications when you do this? I'm still getting call notifications and other app notifications but not text .

For me yes it worked. Like I said originally they're possible work around for a solution that Fitbit SHOULD be all over! If ticking less choices didn't work for you try downloading the Google message app and setting that as default on both phone via settings and your Fitbit via the Fitbit app.
Hope it works as even though it's small inconvenience it does make the Fitbit experience less than positive.

I tried the Google messages last night and it didn't work unfortunately. I think I have tried just about everything and am just going to have to be patient until fitbit figures their issue out

Just to clarify, did you set the Google message app as the default message app in the Fitbit app in the notifications area? If you did and it still didn't work I'm out of ideas and like you resigned to waiting for Fitbit to pull their finger out. Or jump ship to a Samsung watch at some point in the near future.

Yes I set it as default and it still wouldn't send any text notifications. The Samsung watch is looking better and better every day!

Hello Everyone,
I have a Samsung S10 and after the January 2020 update my Versa 2 stopped receiving Text msg notifications. I get all the other notifications to my Fitbit Versa 2. Like the rest of you, I did ALL the troubleshooting. I just tried changing from the standard message app to the Message+ app (I think this is a Verizon app). I changed my default to this Message+ in the Fitbit app and within a minute my wrist was buzzing with a text notification. Must be the Samsung default Message app that isn't working with the Fitbit, just guessing. It was working for me prior to the update the first week of January 2020. Time will tell if this fix is permanent as I have only had it defaulted for a couple minutes. 🙂
