Versa only comes on when connected to power! Any hope?

I've had my Fitbit since Feb/Mar. A week ago, got an email saying battery was low thought it was odd as I had just charged it a day before. A day later got the same email. This time it went off while wearing. I got home and left it charging and fell asleep (so maybe it charged too long?/ Surely it has sensors). Next day wore it and noticed it had gone off, tried rebooting (holding all buttons down for between 10sec and 3 minutes based on the posts here). Still didn't come on. Put it on the charge and the Fitbit logo came on, but every time I removed it, it dies. I had an Alta before and the battery still works - seems to be a Versa problem. Anyone think there's hope to revive it?
