Versa only plays the first song of the list.

Hello!

My versa only play the first song of the list! I can see all the songs, but If I choose song number 2/3/4 etc... the song's name appears on the watch, but the song that he plays is the first of the list. The watch only plays the first song of the list. The music controls works fine! But the watch only plays song nunber 1. All the songs are in the same format (mp3).

I only find something like this on the ionic community, and someone said that the restart will solve the problem. But I try the restart/shutdown and it don't solve the problem. Why is this happening? I can't find answers! The manual/help page don't have this problem.

Thanks.

Thank you so much again 🙂 I really appreciate your efforts to trying to help me.

The watch finnlay works well 😀😀😀

And how?

Well...

I went to the physical store where I bought the watch... and the guy told me to do a "fabric reset".

After that, I connect the watch again to my mobile phone.

Then I went to my cousin's computer (she has Windows 10, and I only have Windows 7).... and I noticed that her fitbit connect app on her computer was tottaly different from mine! She can see all dashboard... and manage music with a different display.

So... I put my songs on a flash drive (pen drive) and insert on her computer.

Then I log in on her computer and transfer the songs (drag and drop all 24 songs at once)... and it works pretty good 😍

Now my watch plays all songs!

I just don't know what solves the problem: the fabric reset, use my cousin's windows 10 computer, or both 😉

Thanks again! Have a nice weekend 😁

Hello!

My versa does it to! Only play the first song. When I change the song.. the songs name appears on the watch, but the song that he plays is the first of the list.

The restart/shutdown don't solve the problem.

Why is this happening?

@CataJer Are the songs DRM-free? Perhaps try loading the playlist again but consisting of fewer songs? Just to test.

Hello!

Thank you so much for trying to help me!

Well.. I also try delete all the 24 songs and download them again to the watch, but this time I change the order of the songs. Now the first song of the list it's a different one.

The problem continues 😕

The watch can play all the songs! But only if that song is on top of the list.

All songs works.. But he only plays the first one.

I didn't transfer a playlist that is already made on my computer..

I transfer separed songs and I create the playlist directly on the program of fitbit on computer.

My cousin did exactly the same thing.. we download the songs from the same place.. and her watch works perfectly.

I don't know what to do :'(

Thanks!

@CataJer  I have moved music to my Versa but I created a playlist (in iTunes) first and then moved the playlist.  Maybe try that next?  I know it's annoying to keep messing with this.  BTW, I wasn't able to get the drag and drop song-by-song to work at all.  Moving a playlist was actually super fast and easy.  Just make sure that all songs are DRM-free.  Good Luck.

Hello!

Thank you so much!!

But I don't have an iPhone. I have an Samsung galaxy s7.

And I only have a computer with Windows 7, I don't have a Mac.

Can I use iTunes for free?

All songs are DMR-free... because If they are not DMR-free... the watch won't play them, right?

But when I try to change the order of the songs.. the watch play always (and only) the first song. I try this with a lot of songs.

Thanks!

I have a Samsung S7 too but my computer is a Mac.  I thought iTunes was free to use for any platform but I can't check that.  I'm actually surprised you got it to work at all with a Windows 7 computer as I've read that Windows 8.1 or higher is actually needed despite the instructions that Fitbit has on it's website.  I guess you were able to install the Fitbit Connect app to your Windows 7 computer?  What music management on your Windows 7 computer do you use?  Can you make a playlist in that program and see if you can load from there?  I don't think iTunes is critical since I can also load from my Google Play library songs that I've purchased.

Yes, I use fitbit connect app on my Windows 7.

If I create separated playlists directly on Fitbit connect app on my computer.. and If I put one song on each playlist by drag them there (playlist 1 - song number 1. Playlist 2 - song number 2. Etc.)... the watch reproduces them correctly!

If I choose on watch "shuffle all playlists" he plays all songs.. because a songs are the first one on their own playlist 🙂

But this isn't the right method.. because I can't do this to 200 songs.. it will took a life to complete the process.

I don't use a program to manage music. I did the download of the songs and now I have separated mp3.files on my computer. I only drag and drop each of them on the Fitbit connect app.

I already try to create a playlist on Windows media player.. and I drag and drop them on the Fitbit.. But the watch can't read that entire file.

Thanks 🙂

Oh!! And I have success in download iTunes on my computer 🙂

I create in iTunes a small playlist.. by drag and drop 24 songs from my computer on the iTunes. I named her "WORKOUT" just for experience.

But now.. how can I put them on watch? I try to drag and drop the playlist from iTunes on the Fitbit connect app and it's impossible do to that 😕

@CataJer  When you start up the Fitbit Connect app and set your watch to transfer music there's a step where you can indicate where to load the music from within your computer instead of using the drag and drop feature.  Do you see it?  There you can choose playlists you've created in iTunes.

Yes! Thanks. I export the playlist created on iTunes to my ambient work on computer.

Then I do that.. I select "ambient computer" (sorry, I'm Portuguese, my English is bad")... and the Fitbit app found the playlist.

But unffortunly the watch only plays the first song of the list, again😢😢😢😢😢 :'(

I don't understand why. My cousin's watch don't need all of this. She drag the songs on the watch and he plays all!

The watch only plays the first song of each playlist.

I can't put more than 1 song on each playlist 😱😱

What can I do??

Thank you so much for trying to help me!!

@CataJer  Oops, I forgot to tell you a critical step.  Within iTunes go to  iTunes>Preferences>Advanced and check the box for "Share iTunes Library XML with other Applications".  Without allowing iTunes to share the Fitbit Connect app can't get in to the playlists you've made.

I did that right now.

And I delete the playlist from working ambient (desktop).

I only have the playlist on iTunes now.

But the Fitbit app can't find the iTunes 😕

Oh my god. This is so boring 😕 nothing works with me 😞

When I go into Fitbit Connect and the Connection to the Watch is made I see this.  Those playlists are from my iTunes application.  No need to specifically open iTunes.

Again, thank you so much for your time and your support 🙂

I can see that.. But unffortunly my fitbit connect app can't open any playlist from iTunes.

I don't know if I need to do anything else on iTunes. Do I need to make "save" or something like that on iTunes? This is so strange 😕

Thanks!

@CataJer it seems you have already Fitbit connect authorized to share iTunes library. Thanks @kcronin for a tip. Reboot your computer and your Versa (press and hold the left and bottom right buttons until Fitbit logo appears) and proceed to PART 2 of Fitbit guide:

PART 2

  1. For best results, sync your watch in the Fitbit app, and then disable Bluetooth temporarily on your phone and computer.
  2. Plug your watch into the charger.
  3. In the Fitbit Connect window on your computer, click Manage My Music.
  4. If prompted, log in to your Fitbit account.
  5. On your watch, open the Music app (User-added image) and then tap Transfer Music. Note that you may need to scroll down to see the transfer button.
    User-added image
  6. Wait a few moments for your watch to connect. Note this can sometimes take a minute or two.
  7. When prompted, follow the on-screen instructions on your Mac to choose the playlists you want to download to your watch. After you choose a playlist, the download starts automatically. If your playlist doesn't appear, click the refresh icon and try again.
  8. Note that if you take several minutes to pick your first playlist, Wi-Fi may disconnect to preserve your battery. Tap the Transfer Music button again to reconnect and continue choosing your playlists.
