Versa only plays the first song of the list.

Hello!

My versa only play the first song of the list! I can see all the songs, but If I choose song number 2/3/4 etc... the song's name appears on the watch, but the song that he plays is the first of the list. The watch only plays the first song of the list. The music controls works fine! But the watch only plays song nunber 1. All the songs are in the same format (mp3).

I only find something like this on the ionic community, and someone said that the restart will solve the problem. But I try the restart/shutdown and it don't solve the problem. Why is this happening? I can't find answers! The manual/help page don't have this problem.

Thanks.

Hello! Thanks!

Well... I already solve the previous problem (I did "fabric reset").

But now, my clock face (the "goat-face") doesn't show location and weather. Only appears "loading.." all the time 😥 (This is happening in all clock faces that shows weather).

I already turn on all the permissions.

---> And on the watch the app "Weather" only shows the 2 cities that I manually add on the mobile app Fitbit "weather". It doesn't show the "current location" (that it's impossible to delete on mobile app). There's something wrong. Do you know what?

Before "fabric reset" the weather app on my Versa allowed me to scroll between the 3 locations (2 cities + "current location"). Now the "current location" doesn't appear on watch.

On mobile app ... on "settings".. I put "automatic time zone" and "automatic location".

Regards, Catarina Jerónimo.

@CataJer many of the 3rd party clockfaces need to be updated to reflect recent API change for Yahoo weather. Many of these clockfaces used Yahoo. My advice would be simply to pick a different clockface or write developer (the contact link can be found on the clockface page in the Fitbit app) asking when the update will be released.

ETA: since the weather app is not pulling location either, this might be a reason for clockface not working was well. Go to location settings on your phone and toggle Fitbit app permissions OFF and ON again. Reboot your phone and Versa. Sync .

Tha strange thing is that before reset the watch works.

The clock face is not the principal part of the problem.

The "weather" app uses Accuether, not yahoo. And he doesn't show "current location"... that's strange 😕 before reset it shows without any problem.

I already send a message to developer, thanks 🙂

This is happening in all clock faces!

Because the main problem starts on the watch settings.

Thanks!

@CataJer I edited my post. Have you seen it? Also, I remember seeing some posts mentioning the issues with AccuWeather. Users had to install AccuWeather app on their phones which resolved the issue.

Yes I saw your edition.

Doesn't work 😕

I already have AccuWeather on my phone. I use it from a long time ago.

The watch works before reset.

So, now he doesn't work and it's strange.

The Accuether was not a problem before the reset.

@CataJer@Marrrmaduke  I have the same phone, a Samsung S7.  Accuweather is the default weather installed on the phone.  My Weather in my Versa is currently not working either.  Over time, sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't.  It doesn't seem to correlate to anything else I've been able to figure out.  However, when Current Location doesn't want to work (my location is ON in my phone and working) I simply add my location as one of the three locations allowed.  Often locations added are forgotten and also, suddenly, my current location will work again.  It's a mystery.

BTW, I don't think your factory reset had anything to do with the Versa Weather app not loading your current location.

Hey @CataJer, I appreciate you have taken the time to try some troubleshooting on your own and some of the tips that @Marrrmaduke posted along the thread, to fix the music issue on your Versa.

Now about the inconvenience with the weather on your Versa, @kcronin, since is not updating, first of all, I'd like you to follow the troubleshooting in this help article: How do I set up and troubleshoot apps on my Fitbit device? Besides that, I'd like you to let me know if it is syncing fine. And finally, please leave Fitbit app running in the background of your phone.

Let me know how it goes, guys!

@HeydyF

Hello!

It's working now. Since I had change the GPS definitions (I change from basic GPS to high level GPS) the weather on the watch starts working 🙂

Thanks for all the help!

Oh! Thanks for that tip @CataJer! I didn't know that could fix this issue with the weather. I'm pretty sure that will help other users with the same issue, to solve it.

Let me know if you have further questions or comments!
