Versa only works when plugged in

Good day, 

Three days ago my device went off after the battery was too low, I charged it and used it normally, after a few minutes after taking it off of charge the screen went black. I tried everything to get it to work again, I pressed the left and bottom right button for about 10 seconds and nothing worked. Last night I contacted someone on the live chat service (I received a case number) and they suggested I factory reset my device, which I did, but this morning it's doing the same as previous, the battery is full but the screen switches off after about 20 minutes after I take it off of charge, then I have to plug it in to get it started again. I got my device last year November, so it's not even a year old, I would like assistance with this please.

This is the exact problem I am having. I also bought my versa in November last year and suddenly we're having problems as we get near to the warranty running out.
