Versa problem connecting with AirPods-battery lasts 2 days

I am so unpleased with my Versa. For $200.00 I expected so much more... For instance, I expected Fitbit to keep their word, when the website states, "Connect Fitbit Versa to wireless Bluetooth headphones like Fitbit Flyer to listen to your favorite tunes—without the wires."

It says LIKE Fitbit Flyer, however when I emailed to explain that my $150.00 AirPods won't connect right, they told me that the Fibit Flyer is the only headphone that they know will work.

The music also cuts in and out consistently.

My workouts pause so much because the screen keeps lighting up for no reason.

Versa does NOT track distance correctly AT ALL.

And I'm also unpleased because it states 4 day battery and I am lucky to get two full days....

So irritated. Could have bought an Apple Watch for $200.00.

@BrittanyMatie Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here! Sorry to hear about the issues you are having with your Versa. Your Versa should work with other wireless headphones not only with the Fitbit Flyer. For the connection issue with your AirPods and the workout tracking I suggest your restart your Versa by doing the following:

1.- Press and hold the back (left) and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This should take less than 10 seconds.
2.- Let go of the buttons.
3.- If your Fitbit watch doesn't work normally, use the instructions in How do I turn off my Fitbit device? to turn your watch off and on again.

Regarding the distance recording your Versa uses your stride length and your steps to calculate your distance (when not using your phone's GPS signal) so please try to measure your stride length by doing the following:

  1. Go to a track or some place where you're sure of the distance.
  2. Count your steps as you walk across that distance, making sure you travel at least 20 steps.
  3. Divide the total distance (in feet) taken by the number of steps to get your stride length.

Your running stride can be calculated the same way if you run instead of walk.

After this update the information on your account.

Finally regarding your Versa's battery life please try these suggestions.

Let me know how it goes!

I tried turning my Versa off and on again and it still won’t connect to my AirPods.  Any other ideas?

I dont understand why fitbit support is giving solutions on restart of watch to connect to air pods(is it to flush the bluetooth cache?).

Afaik, airpods run proprietary audio services over bluetooth for low latency and hence work very well only with other Apple devices. However other generic bluetooth head/ear phones should work with fitbit watch as they are generic.

Watch screen on can be made manual(press and hold left button to access the quick shortcuts) I dont use HRM & other unwanted fancy features. My Versa battery(last recharged 7 days ago) had 32% today before I recharged. I guess our usage determines battery life. One more battery sucker is app. In fitbit app, go to settings of each app you got and remove background refresh. I am sure you too will enjoy week long battery like me.

Other watches: Apple iWatch2, Amazfit bip, Skagen hybrid
