Versa quick view issues

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I've had my Versa for just over 1 day and I'm disappointed. The main feature I was expecting for them to get right is the quick responsiveness for me to tell them time. 4 out of 5 times, when I look at my watch, the screen doesn't appear. I have to shake or multi-rotate my wrist and sometimes physically tap my watch for the screen to turn on so I can tell the time. Does anybody else experience this annoyance?

Hey @AmirAnsari, it's great to see you around.

Have you tried to restart your Versa? If you haven't, I recommend restarting it by doing the following:

  1. Press and hold the back (left) and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This should take less than 10 seconds.
  2. Let go of the buttons.

Also, I suggest checking that the quick view feature is on by pressing the home button of the watch and check if this option is on.

Let me know the outcome. Robot Happy

did all those. ALso been in contact with the support team who gave me the same instructions. no use. It's even worse - half the time when an incoming call comes in, the screen remains black.  Poor quality Fitbit. very disappointed.

When lifting the arm up, make sure the forearm is somewhat level, at least within 15° of level.

Now as the arm continues to rise you want to rotate the wriet 90°

This rarely fails to light up for me.

Thanks Rich. The fact that you've had to provide such specific instructions for me to tell the time highlights the failure of the watch provide the basic functionality.

I like everything about the watch but this one issue is a deal breaker for me.

You could always read the owners manual @AmirAnsari

Does the owners manual say that the quick view feature is problematic and not great?

No it does not, because it along with the other latest tracker, the Quick View is the smoothest most consistently working models.

It works so well that I am to the point of not remembering when it doesn't work.

The quick start, available from the app if you failed to watch it durring setup, the manual, and Fitbit help, show how it works .

I find that if the forearm is within 15° of horizontal when the watch is rotated 90° the display will turn on. The older models need to be closer to 5° and the rotation needed to be facing up and turn 90¢° from there. With the Versa it doesn't seem to matter what angle the watch is facing before to 90° turn.

@AmirAnsariit just takes a while to find the right way when lifting your hand to see the time. This is not problematic it's normal and should be like this. Else your screen would turn on with the slightest movement. Random people at random occations would look at your screen. Battery would drain. Also the screen is supposed to open only with you looking at it (with the proper motion).

I have the same issue / concern. I want to be able to read the time without pushing a button or moving my arm “just so”. A great feature would be to have the Versa “learn” my read-the-time gesture like the iPhone learned my thumbprint. This is also a deal killer for me. Bought at REI so I can bring it back no problem.

I find my arm is usually positioned in a way that I'm unable to see the tracker. I either have to reposition the Arm or at least rotate and the screen lights up.
