I have the fitbit Versa for almost 3 months. But lately i noticed that the heart beats tracking is working while not in use.

I have the same exact problem.

As I am typing this message, I am currently at 175 BPM according to my Versa. I have already spoken with customer service and all they told me was to restart the watch and keep looking out for updates as it is a "software" thing and the engineers are currently working on it. I've been having a broken Versa for about three weeks now. I was really enjoying the product, but I was hoping to have at least gotten a replacement while the engineers work on something that I have no idea how long it will take. 😞

If there are any updates towards this problem or advice on how to fix this I'd love to know.

Hey guys, welcome to the Community!

@Mrswhiplash, If your Versa is reading heart rate while you are not reading it, I suggest you to try the following to avoid this from happening again and let me know if those steps work:

a. Switch HR setting to off and sync.
b. Switch HR setting to Auto and sync.
c. Wait at least 60 seconds before checking heart rate again
d. Restart your Versa.

I’m having the same issue, that usually happens during the night when I’m not wearing my fitbit. It happens in random days at least twice per week.

It shows my heart rate is very high in cardio levels even.

My software is updated already and I have this fitbit for about 3 months only.

Looking foward to a reply.

@Auraelian Hi, Have you got your problem solved with fitbit?

I encountered the same issue nearly one year ago. The solution I found was to place my Versa face down / backside facing up when not wearing the device.

@LnS2001 Thanks for the advice. I’ll try that!

My Fitbit is recording a heart rate at night when I’m not wearing my device. Also, it is saying that my heart rate is going to 210 as I am out for a power walk. I manually take my heart rate and it is between 120-139. So disappointed in this product! And now my notifications aren’t showing up either.
