Versa recording far fewer steps than Zip

Having decided to upgrade my Zip to a Versa I am finding that the Versa, despite resetting and changing clockface, is way behind in recording the number of steps taken. So far today the Zip is showing 1123 steps whilst the Versa has only recorded 636 steps. Definitely not impressed!

Hi. I'm not wearing my Versa tight on my wrist. The problem has been from first setting it up on 5th Dec 2018. I couldn't understand why I didn't appear to be doing many steps each day. So I reset the Versa yesterday and changed the clockface. I then also decided to carry my old Zip with me, that was when I discovered the number of steps recorded on each device was way out. So far today my Versa has recorded 2461 steps whilst my Zip has 3077 steps.

If I had to hazard a guess, the discrepancy is probably due to the fact that the Zip is worn on the belt, while the Versa is worn on the wrist.  Although both will sense foot falls, since the Zip is closer to the foot, it will sense them much more accurately than the Versa.

@Lizlyn Welcome to our Fitbit Community! Thank you for your interest in getting the Fitbit Versa. However, I'm sorry to hear that it's not tracking your steps accurately. I would like to know a couple of details that will help me to assist you accordingly: Are you wearing your Versa too tight? Has been this issue constant or did it happen once? Are you doing the same activities with the Versa as you did with the Zip?

@DramaQueenDiva Thanks a lot for sharing your feedback and help my friend!
