Hi guys,
I had a Fitbit Charge HR for three years and after the initial setup everything worked perfectly. I've had my Fitbit Versa for just over a month and it is still inaccurate.
This weekend I did a 10K competition, it only measured 8.97K. I finished my 10K in 53:36, but throughout the run my Versa indicated my pace as 6'05". But it was actually 5'21". I've done the steps setup. I've measured my steps and my running distance (73 and 99cm respectively). The units are correct. Everything should be accurate. Why is it not working?
I never run with my phone, never did with my Charge HR either. So it is not connected to GPS. I am also not willing to run with my phone for safety and comfort reasons. So I need help calibrating my new, very expensive, watch so I can continue training for my upcoming half marathon, please!

Hey @JMvdM, it's great to welcome you!
Thanks for troubleshooting this by yourself. If you haven't already read our information and tips about improving accuracy, see the help article How accurate are Fitbit devices?.
I also recommend verifying that your stride length information is correct. After checking this, please do the following:
1. Put your watch on your wrist.
2. Walk 100 steps, making sure to count a step each time one of your feet hits the ground.
3. Pause, then check your tracker to see your step count.
Let me know how many steps it registered.
Hope to hear from you soon.

Thank you for the reply. Long story short - when I wear my watch on my right hand but set it as non-dominant its much more accurate, but that is also how I ran the 10K and it was inaccurate with the run.
I entered my stride length manually - measured it the way you propose in your help articles.
The 100 steps you mentioned -when the Fitbit is on my non-dominant it counts around 37 steps less and when on my right hand it is only off with one or two steps (Yay).
I read in the article you suggested that when you do a GPS run the Fitbit will re-calculate your stride automatically?
So I am going to go for a 3k run with my phone to do a GPS recorded workout and I will set my Fitbit stride length to 'automatic' beforehand. Do you think this will work? Will it recalcuate automatically?
I am really out of ideas and I am doing a 16K race this coming weekend so I need the pace it gives me while running to be acurate.
Thanks again for taking the time to help me!!
