Versa restarting by itself when swiping down.

Bought a versa yesterday and all worked great until this afternoon.  Now, when I swipe down from the clock screen to check for notifications, I get a thin red line for a second and then the unit restarts. Swiping down when on data screen takes me back to the clock screen as it should.  Have restarted several times but still can't swipe down from the clock face without a restart.

Hello @RossBrick, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for sharing your experience with us. I would also like to thank you for letting us know the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far. At this moment, I would like to suggest you to perform a Factory Reset on your Versa:

Factory reset your Fitbit Versa will erase apps and all your personal data from the device, including credit or debit cards you added (on devices that support Fitbit Pay). Make sure you sync your Versa before performing a Factory Reset to avoid losing data.

On your device, open the Settings app > About Factory Reset or Clear User Data. After that, you will need to set up your Versa as a new device:

  1. Go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and check if your tracker is on the list of paired devices. If it is, tap on it and select Forget this Device.
  2. Open the Fitbit app and tap on the Account symbol at the top right corner of the screen, then tap on "Set up a New Device"
  3. Choose your tracker and follow the onscreen instructions to continue
  4. When the app asks you to replace your current tracker, please replace it and continue with the process.
  5. When a pop-up appears asking you to Pair your tracker to your device, tap on Pair and continue.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and let us know in case you need anythign else.

Thanks for the guidance on this. It is working now. I'll monitor it.
Hopefully it was a fluke and doesn't start doing again within 24 hours.

Best,
Ross
