Today during my workout my versa restarted itself and I chatted with support about it and I am keeping an eye on it over the next week. However now as I am sitting at my desk, my versa just restarted itself again. Anyone else having this issue?

I just finished talking to customer service about the same issue. My Versa would restart itself several times throughout the day. had to do a complete factory reset and redownload the app and the reinstall. hopefully this resolves the issue.

Mine rebooted three times today during workout.. Not happy.

I had mine replaced 2 weeks ago because of bad battery time. This new one has great battery time(it lasts 6 days), but unfortunately it seems to reboot randomly instead.. Never had this problem with the last one.

Which face was giving you issues?

I have only ever used the default one on this versa. But the last week has been ok. No restarts that I am aware of.

Currently on my second Versa after the first one registered ghost steps...

Now the replacement is restarting about 10 minutes into my morning walk...does not seem to loose any data - just does not record while restarting.

Does this about 3 to 4 times a week.

Suggestions?

It is *so* awesome to see this same type of problem happening on multiple Fitbit devices.

Software anyone?

And I love the answer.   Reset/Uninstall/Reinstall.

Right.

My Blaze started doing this.  In fact, it's doing it right now while the charger is trying to charge it.
My old Blaze had a "can't start up" problem, coupled with "won't count floors."

Fun, fun, fun...

I also am having the issue of my Fitbit resetting but it happens only when I'm using the exercise GPS on a run. It happens about 2.5 miles into my run. I am using the Layer clock face. I am going to change it to another clock face and see if it works. I also did a factory reset and deleted the app. Fingers crossed it doesn't happen again!

Mine does it sporadically, but the general trend appears to me to be overheating of some sort.

Unfortunately, as a mammal, I don't have many options to get around that.

I'll be calling support on my issue this week, as it hasn't gotten better over the past few months, despite many "fixes" applied.

I had two ionics both had this problem and then ultimately died, one being the replacement for the other under the retailers warranty. When the second one died, the retailer had stopped selling the ionic so my current Fitbit is a Versa, guess what its doing the same, last night it was continually resetting through the night and did not record the sleep time and the battery went from circa 60% to 12%!

If it continues I will have to think about an Apple Watch I am afraid but held back based on run time on a single charge. I also did not have a great experience with a flyer which only lasted two months before failing altogether. Shame liked the products but they don’t seem reliable

My issues regarding this all started when I started playing around with all the different clockfaces....up until a point the changing of the clockfaces went really smoothly without any hitches, but then after a while that all changed...but I was changing them rather frequently...then all the rebooting issues started...losing connection etc.  I eventually swapped to a different clockface that seemed to stop all that, but it has come up again when I began playing music and tracking exercise GPS etc...it would reset without warning and stop tracking the exercise....I should also mention that recently it did the same thing and I wasn't listening to music on the Versa...

It has been a frustrating time and I was kinda blaming myself somewhat for overdoing it with the Clockface changing as up until a point everything seemed to be working really well...

I am also in the process of doing the re-boot...will update with the results at a later date.

The reboot I mentioned seemed to work and I have picked a stable clockface and have stuck to the same one... so far I have not had any further issues.  so far 🙂

I use an Iphone and have upgraded to the latest IOS that people seem to be complaining about with the lack of notifications coming through on their Versa, but I have not had this issue...HOWEVER I have also chosen to not upload the latest Versa update as I had heard that others were experiencing issues with notifications.  Getting them on my Versa while at work was/is very important to me...so until I hear that this is not a problem I will be reluctant to update my Versa...

I am having the same issue and they want me to send the Fitbit back before they will replace my Fitbit, even though it’s under warranty.  I have never had to send things back under warranty before and they told me this is a rare issue.  Yet I find several people posting this same issue.  It will be the last time I buy a Fitbit if they don’t resolve this.

I believe it was an overseas customer service agent, it was absolutely one of the worse customer service reps and so was the supervisor I have dealt with.

Same here. I had my Versa on all day and so far it has restarted 4 times.  This is ridiculous. I've done multiple reboots in the last 2 weeks and followed the online help to a tee and this reboot issue is persisting.  And now, the Bluetooth connection was lost after the last self reboot and I cannot connect it to my phone.   This product is clearly defective and I will be calling customer service to have it replaced or refunded. This is unacceptable!

I was finally able to get them to replace mine as the heart rate was way off. I haven’t updated the firmware and it works great! I am not updating the firmware until I hear there are no longer issues!

Who did you call for them to resend a new one to you and what did you tell them exactly? Mine is having the same problem and also the light on the back is completely red when it should be green. The charge isn't holding either.
