Versa restarts in middle of workout by itself

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have a Versa 2 which I bought in December, 2019. It was working great until last month. During the middle of an exercise it turned off - screened turned off then slowly the Fitbit loco came back on. Then again on another day it did a restart....

Just this past weekend it turned off again. This time it took some time to turn it on. Battery was at 72% no issues with that.

Any thoughts? Has this happened to anyone?
does the new firmware update fixes these issues?

Thank you,

Rocio

Hi @RocFlo, due to the recent events, I apologize for the delayed response. However, let me welcome you to our Fitbit Community.

Regarding the sudden restarts that your Fitbit Versa 2 does by itself, I was able to get in touch with our Support team and was told that they sent you an email requesting some details from you. Please reply to their email with the information. They'll be happy to follow up and assist you accordingly.

I'll be around if any question arises.

Hi Juan,

My Versa 2 has also started restarting during runs/walks/workouts every time I’ve done exercise the past couple of weeks. How do I go about stopping this so I can complete my workouts?

Hi @annie2495, thank you for joining us in this thread. Since your Versa 2 is also restarting by itself during our workouts, I'd like you to try a factory reset. To do so on your device, follow the steps below:

  1. Hold the back button for about 8 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears:
  • Release the button briefly (for less than 2 seconds).
  • Hold the button again until they feel a second, longer vibration, which indicates they initiated the factory reset.

After this, Set up your watch from scratch. Finally, monitor your watch during your workouts and see if the issue gets fixed.

Keep me posted on the outcome.
