Weather app has asked me to sync since last evening. Still not working after several sync-ings and a restart. Suggestions or still some bugs?

sometimes it does all of those things; not always. Weather app is not working.

Got a similar issue, when it happens I go to the app settings on the fitbit app, and the custom location is always lost. When I add it again, it works for a while. I set my phone to plane mode at night. Could be related.

Still not working. I've also tried restaring Bluetooth, rebooting my phone, and restarting my Versa.

@Kimmberley what's wrong with the app? Try rebooting your Versa by pressing and holding the left and bottom right buttons until Fitbit logo flashes.

As far as I know this only relates to some phones, maybe it's an Android thing. Could be iPhone. Could mean nothing at all ;( Someone might be able to enlighten us all.
The weather app doesn't work on my Windows phone and never has (except if I manage to force it, and that can be very difficult). I'm just resigned to the fact that it'll never work. Most other things are good, and there's always a window nearby if I need to check the weather 🙂

I've tried everything on this thread and it still doesn't sync.It worked once and then never again, got the device for a week now. any additional troubleshooting steps?

@Pritesh your phone doesn't sync? Model and OS? Versa firmware version?

@Marrrmaduke my phone syncs, it's just the weather app that doesn't get updated. I've got a Samsung J5 OS 6.0.1 and firmware version for the versa 32.33.1.30. when entering the weather app it tells me to sync the fitbit mobile app to update

I noticed the same thing this morning, weather app had stopped syncing. A couple of days ago I had switched from automatically identifying the location to manually setting it (under Advanced settings). I set my location back to automatic today and weather started working again. Try that and see if it helps.

My weather app hasn’t worked in months. When I first got my Fitbit it worked for awhile (even then it was always way behind on the current weather) but I’ve given up on it. My Fitbit and phone have been restarted many times and it doesn’t even pull up any cities now. Doesn’t have any saved and reverted back to Celsius. I have no interest in trying to fix it because it requires me to sync with my phone anyway. If I’m gong to do that, I’ll just check the weather on my phone. Just let me delete it, please! I just want to be rid of this sad, broken app.

@Axo did you update to firmware 3.0? Weather app was updated and is working. Hopefully it will for u as well.

Just updated to latest OS 3.0. My weather app is not working either. Tried everything noted on this board. I sync to iPhone 7S+. Frustrating.

Just figured it out. Did not have permissions turned on in the Weather app on my iphone.

Hi, when your weather still does not work, try the following:
1. withing Fitbit App: go to my apps
2. Go to weather app and press the settings at the right side of the screen
3. If there is only your current location is present than tis is probably the rpoblem
4. Press add new location and enter the exact data of your location.
5. Restart your mobile device and sync it with your watch. It should work now. Worked for me for ages.
