The main point
My year-old Versa seems to be draining battery while on the charger. I plugged it in this morning and it was at 30%. Then I checked a while later and it dropped to 21%. Now it's at 8%. Help!
More details
I've been a longtime FitBit user, and purchased a Versa Smartwatch last Black Friday, so I've owned it for just under a year. I charged my FitBit for a little bit 2 days ago while installing the firmware update. The update successfully installed, according to my app, and I changed the clock face as well. The battery was at around 60% when I removed it from the charger so that I could go about my day.
This morning I got the notification that my FitBit needed charging. This was weird because that's a lot faster than the battery normally drains, but ok. So I go to charge it. And now it's been a few hours, and the battery is at 8 -- no, now 7%. I know I was late to the party installing this update, but I can't seem to find any other posts complaining about this issue. Does anyone have any ideas?

@NanaYi, welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm happy to assist you with your Fitbit Versa since the battery drains quickly, even when it's on the charger. By the way, thank you for troubleshooting this issue before contacting our forums.
Please try cleaning the contacts of your Versa and charger with a cotton swab in order to remove any dust that affects the contacts when charging the unit. Also, I'd like to share this help article, which contains some tips in order to improve the battery life of your watch.
Let me know if the issue gets fixed.

Hi JuanJo,
Thank you for the tips! I forgot to post again yesterday, but of course, as soon as I finished writing my original post, I tried to unplug and plug back in my FitBit (for the 4th time) and it suddenly started working, and I was at 100% within 30 minutes. I was so shocked, and I'm still not totally sure what was wrong in the first place, but I'm glad that I don't need a replacement. Thank you for your help!
