Versa's battery drains fast

The Battery life of my Verse has suddenly be reduced to less than a day.  The Versa was recently updated with the new firmware, but I do not know if this is part of issue.  Tuesday the versa was on the charger most of the day, but was fully charged in the afternoon.  Thursday morning the versa was completely dead and spent most of the day on the charger around 4 p.m. it was fully charged (please note I do not believe it actually took all day to charge, I just did not have the opportunity to retrieve it.)  This morning (Friday) my versa was down to about 21% and went back on the charger for about an hour and a half.  Even though it was not fully charge, it should have been more than ample to make it through the day.  It is now 5:30 p.m. and the versa had to be put back on the charger again about 15 minutes ago, received the e-mail indicating that the battery life was low and it was down to about 23%. My versa is less than 1.5 years old.

I have tried the tips listed in the article, prior to starting the discussion.  At 6:09 last night I took the Versa off of the charger, it was at 99% it is now 6:53 A.M. and my activity level was low (sitting watching television and sleeping) the battery life is at 45%. ***Update*** it is now 9:52 A.M. and my Versa is back on the charger...it was down to 19%.  Please note I was not out running around being active, I was sitting at a desk.***Update ~ Sunday, January 26th***.  Took my versa off of the charger at 22:50 last night, the charge was at 100%, it is now 07:30 and the charge is down to 48%.

I came here for the same reason. I charged my Versa to 100% yesterday. This morning, it was down to 18%. This has been happening for over a week. I feel like I have to constantly charge it. My Versa is less than 2 years old. I've tried doing a restart before placing it on the charger. I've wiped it down to make sure the charging ports are clean. Nothing works.

UPDATE: Sunday, Jan 26th. Charged my Versa to 100% yesterday afternoon. Battery is now at 15%. I'm past the one-year warranty so I don't think support will be much help except to tell me to buy a new one.

I'm dealing with the same issue since the firmware update...constantly having to charge it when before the battery life was 5 days or so. Frustrating. Can you "undo" the update?

I have been dealing with the same issue since Thursday. I’ve been in contact with support but none of their suggestions have fixed the problem. They told me my problem was not enough power from the power source. Not the charger itself but the part I plug it into the wall with. I switched it before I started charging again. I charged mine to 100% last night at 11pm and when I woke up at 6am it was already down to 40%. I rely on my Fitbit and it’s not even a year old.

Today I was given a replacement via email and am waiting for the new one to come. Hopefully it works and my issues are over.  Will let you know when it arrives.

I spoke to four different support people and eventually through trying all their techniques they realized I was eligible for a replacement.  I’m just hoping it’s not a refurbished one since I’ve read this has happened to some people.  They are sending me a Versa 2 though bc they said don’t have my model available.  I’ve been reading some people have had issues with the 2 so I’m crossing my fingers I’m not one of them.

I contacted them directly and have yet to get a response. Mine is less than a year old so should be eligible for warranty. Will have to keep contacting them to get a response. Thanks and good luck.Sent from my Samsung Galaxy smartphone.
