Hello - Last night my Versa was at 67%. I powered it down. This morning I turned it back on and it was at 0%. Second time this week that has occurred. So I made sure to double check after powering down. Issue began after the new firmware update I downloaded Monday.

As long as I don 't turn off versa watch, the battery doesn't drain top fast. There is no solution from fitbit. I won't be buying fitbit products in the future.

Same issue. Updated my Versa a couple weeks ago and since, there have been multiple instances of very fast battery drain. I don’t ever turn mine off, but the battery seems to be randomly draining in 1-2 days all of a sudden. Other charges will last 4. Makes no sense when I don’t have any of the battery hog options enabled, like always on display or notifications.

Same issue here with my Versa, and with many other similar feedbacks in the forum since last firmware update, but disappointed that there is no acknowledgement nor answers from Fitbit to this same repeated question in the forum.

My Versa now drains the battery twice as much when I turned it Off, than to just leave it On overnight - first time in my life that I own a battery device that behave this opposite way!

After three months passed, there is no any fixed or patches. It looks like Fitbit has given up Versa users. It is also so strange, releasing a firmware with a huge bug and then stopping maintain. I will never buy Fitbit devices.

I have the same exact problem after the latest update, but with my Fitbit Ionic.  Fitbit has told me I am the only one reporting this problem. Looses excessive battery only when powered off and doesn't update time or day when powered on the next morning.  They went so far as to send me a new Ionic which worked normally until I updated it and now the same problem. Seems it must be with the firmware update right?

It's not just versa users, it is ionic users also. They say it doesn't really turn off and it gets stuck into some kind of hyper high CPU lockout state that drains the battery. Their only solution was to not turn the watch off at night.

Very true!  I popped over to the Ionic forum and they are commenting on the excessive battery drain issue not being fixed as well other other issues being encounter after downloading the newest update.

So what is the purpose of the the firmware update if it doesn't fix the existing bugs caused by the previous firmware update from December?

Wow, and the ionic is the top of the line fitbit. Do we know if the versa 2 has this problem also?

Go into the thread for the Versa 2 update and you will see all the issues after their latest firmware.   Yes, battery draining is one of the issues.

That was exactly my thought.  Why do a firmware update but not fix the problems from the last one?

After last update mine watch is dead. It won't charge or go on

Wondering about this issue in 2021 and nothing..really?!?!! Sounds like one of those conspiracy theories where they were paid off by the govt. to force the update to keep better surveillance on everyone. 🙄
