I have had my Versa, through my company at a discount, for a year now. Around December the screen started glitching and now...well the screen is completely black. I have restarted it countless times...well at least I THINK I have since I can't see my screen. This is ridiculous! I haven't been swimming etc and now I can't re-sinc my watch to my app because I can't see so my steps are not being counted. I DID place some of my own money into this watch and it's ridiculous that my watch doesn't even work a year later. Fitbit, you are about to lose a customer!

Hi @CauleyE, due to the recent events, I apologize for the delayed response. However, let me welcome you to our Fitbit Community.
I'm sorry to hear that your Versa's screen stopped turning on. I totally understand how you feel about this. By the way, thank you for troubleshooting this issue before contacting our forums. I would like to follow up on this issue and would like to know if your watch vibrates when you put it on the charger.
Looking forward to your response.

I bought mine last May and began having syncing problems a few weeks ago. As I understand it, there is a problem with the software that has not been corrected. I did find a recommendation in the community pages to hit all three buttons and hold. The person held for three minutes until it turned on. I used this technique twice. The first time, it turned on in about a minute and this morning it turned on in less than 30 seconds. I shared this suggestion with another person on the Community board and it worked for them.
I've been dealing with syncing problems for about three weeks and finally decided to order a new Versa, since my warranty expires towards the end of May. It is supposed to arrive tomorrow. If your warranty is still good, you may want to get another one before it expires. Go through the Help center. Be sure that your Versa is connected to an approved devise. There is no charge to replace the Versa, but half price with no additional warranty time if you want a different watch.

Mine did the same thing. My watch stopped vibrating a few months ago.

My fitbit Versa 2 had a similar problem were it would still track what I was doing but the screen didn't turn on but it was like the screen was trying to turn on but it couldn't. I believe if this company is going to make us pay $250 for a product to only last 7 months (or longer) before malfunctioning they should at least extend the warranty for our troubles for 2 years.

Try hitting all three buttons at the same time. If you haven't used it in months, I would put plug in the cradle and leave the watch in for a while before pushing all three buttons. It's worth a try. It didn't correct my syncing problem, but at least it's counting steps and recording the data.

I appreciate the info. My watch hasn’t turned on since April 1. In January it stopped vibrating.
Ido not see a way to hold the buttons on the versa while it’s on the charger and connected to the computer.

I understand. No, my Versa does not vibrate when I place it on the charger. Before I removed it from my account, the steps were being recorded but I am unable to SEE the steps, track a workout, or start anything.

Thanks for the information! I'll try the 3 button option first and if that does t work, I'll call and check my warranty....I believe it was summer. Awesome!

Hello
I was given my Versa 2 for my birthday yesterday. After a few hours of use it totally blacked out (even though it was at 50%charge). After an hour on charge it came back to life but over night it’s done it again and I can’t get anything back on the screen, despite 1 hour of chArging so far. Pls help!

After charging the watch, remove it from the cradle and push down the three buttons. I just read that it took someone else five minutes before the screen lit up.

If you just bought the watch, I would return it. Personally, I would use the money to buy a different brand.

If you look at the topics on the Community board, they are mostly about problems with syncing and with blank screens. If it is under warranty and you are connecting it to an approved device, I would call the help desk and request a replacement. Verify that the replacement would be covered for the rest of the original warranty. I still hear complaints about new ones, but maybe it will be a lucky one or at least give you more time with a working fitbit. Mine is on the truck. Should get it this afternoon.

Since your watch is so new, I would start by taking it back to the store to see if you could get a full refund.
