Versa's distance tracking inaccuracy

This has been going on for a while now but it’s been getting worse and more inaccurate. I would use the running exercise program on the Fitbit versa and for example I did a 3.1 mile run but it said 3.22 miles on the actual app and watch. And the other day I went for a run and my Fitbit said I did 4.6 miles but everyone else did more around 3.9 miles, and they looped back and forward to meet me as I was slower than them, meaning they did a greater distance, and we started our watches or trackers at the same time. I need this to be fixed, I am very disappointed as i have gotten previous products from Fitbit and they we’re amazing, this was a real let down.

kind regards hannahelise

@hannahelise, welcome to the Fitbit Community! I hope you're doing well! Sorry for the delay in my reply.

Let me help you with your distance recording. You can try measuring your stride length to improve the distance calculation on your device. You can follow these instructions to do so and this article explains how distance is calculated.

Let me know how it goes.
