Versa's firmware doesn't appear as updated

So I have a Versa that I got in June. It is currently running on firmware version 32.33.1.30 which is apparently quite a few updates behind. I am not getting an option to update anywhere and I am unable to add any apps to the watch now because it says I need the app and the watch to have the latest update. I updated the app but there is no prompt to update the firmware for the watch anywhere and there does not appear to be an option anywhere to search for or force an update. Been trying to figure this out for at least an hour and I am getting very frustrated!

@AdabellaA, welcome to our Fitbit Community. I'm sorry to hear that your Fitbit Versa doesn't appear as updated.

 

The version you mentioned above is the latest on. However, if the app states that it doesn't have the latest version, please follow the steps listed in this help article.

 

If the app keeps saying the the firmware is not the latest one, try logging out of the app, restart your phone, open the app, log in and try the steps listed in the article in order to run the update again.

I had the same issue and waited for several months while Fitbit support kept telling me to just wait.  Last week I decided to try and reset.  I started by syncing my device so my data would be saved.  Then I started the Reset to Factory in settings on my Versa then went to the app and removed the device.  I completed the reset and update and added the device to the app when the Versa indicated.  Now I am operating on the latest firmware 70.7.14.
